  1. Thanks for that info. Will probably buy on that basis and keep my eyes open for a resonably priced DRS version which is the one I'm really after.
  2. Hatton selling the above model (4D-022-004) at £86 which seems very reasonable. Having not owned one of these and heard various things about livery issues can anyone advise if this particular loco is one of these (livery issue). Regards
  3. Thanks to all, I'll give it a bash later on..
  4. I thought I could see latches at either end of the bogie and inserted the screwdriver, there was no give therefore didn't go any further in case I snapped something.
  5. Phil thanks for that. Basically just pull the frames downwards ??????
  6. I've inherited a Bachmann Class 66 loco that has been run on a track which has been placed on the carpet. As a consequence the axle ends are heavily contaminated with fibres and hairs etc which I can't unpick whilst the wheels are in situ. Not sure if the cover on the underside of the bogie between the wheels can be removed or do I need to remove/drop the complete bogie from the chassis. Advise please. Regards
  7. I see the initial DRS ones have proved very popular with prices now ridiculous money (£179 upwards), are Dapol doing another run.
  8. Dropped Hattons an e-mail to see if they had any complaints, the answer was no, however here is another part of the response. "Ordinarily, I would suggest that you simply return the faulty model for a replacement, but unfortunately, this model is already sold-out and discontinued, so we do not have any more of these models available". I can either return for refund or send to Bachmann for repairs. LJC
  9. Straight out the box mine doing more less the same except when it stopped on points it briefly started to go the other way of it's own accord ? LJC
  10. Seen it myself and fancied. Apart from the loco number is there any difference between this model and 47707 (Holyrood) which is a deferred release for later this year ???? Also priced a bit cheaper at £86.36 but they then added the free coach to go with 47715. Cheers LJC
  11. I have attached a picture, don't know if it's what you are after since I'm nor sure about the cowling etc. Any problems opening it send me your e-mail address. I was thinking of something similiar therefore let me know the outcome, also, where would you get the correct round buffers from ? Cheers LJC
