Alright so all I've done is paint the shop window frames and glue them into the ground floor fascia. But I'm really pleased with how this is turning out. I don't know why but I always have a lack of imagination when it comes to thinking of shops. I'm thinking tabacconist, milliners, barbers, jewellers, gents outfitters and a haberdashers?

Shop facade and frames have arrived today. I've tacked it together with masking tape. Obviously will need painting (although I do like the mottled grey colour) and shop contents creating and some general fettling to make it all fit properly.

That shouldn't be a problem as I design my own models using sketch up. Is there anyone anybody would recommend?

Just been hit with a £50 import charge for my most recent order from shapeways. I appreciate things have changed since leaving the EU but I thought the supplier dealt with this! Very annoyed that if they don't they didn't make that clear. Can anyone recommend a UK manufacturer I really don't want to buy my own 3d printer

Does this one come with firebox flicker as well?

Just wondering if anyone treats the mdf before building? My layout such as it is is in a garden shed which with damp issues may well be prone to warping? Does the mdf need sealing?

Not sure how well these will look on here. This is the shop front facade for the corner building. I've uploaded them to shape ways and emailed the pdfs to work so I can print them off, resize them and produce a mock up on the model. Still need to create the shop window frames.

A little work on the Insurance Company offices. Painted to resemble one of the many Victorian terracotta faience buildings, with a granite faced ground floor. The lettering was something that was everywhere before the war but seemed to disappear in the sixties. Oh by the way, Middleshire, is a county from the Agatha Christie novels.

Birmingham Moor Street I believe

This is the city's major department store, name yet to be decided. I've drawn up some shop windows and doors for 3d printing. It's ideal for mass production of identical items. Here printed off on card so I can mock up the facade. Not sure on the central roof structure yet. The present one is intended to be similar to the roof shape on the corner pavilions but it's not doing it for me.
