Hi everyone, We're back on our travels again this weekend, heading to Sheffield for our "take over" of Rails of Sheffield this Friday and Saturday! Richard, myself and other members of the Accurascale crew will be on hand to meet you and show off our latest wares! Not only that, but Rails will be doing special in store promotions on in stock Accurascale models too over the two days. So, if you're in the area, make sure you stop by, say hi and meet the two teams of Accurascale and Rails of Sheffield. Perhaps plans for another joint exclusive model to follow the Class 89 might be discussed among management too over the weekend.... Maybe you could even tell us both what you'd like to see as our next joint venture over the weekend when you come to visit! Hi Mike, It is not defensiveness, it just allows our tech team to get an idea of the issue so they can suggest remedies such a tweaking switches, CVs or indeed sending the loco back. Seeing the loco in operation on the end users layout in its environment answers a million more questions than a back and forth via email or chat. At the end of the day, "a picture says a million words" and our aim is to get your matter resolved ASAP. This is the reason why we ask for video footage of the problem. Cheers! Fran

It's also disappointing that someone would sell a charity fundraiser for profit, and I am guessing that their profits wont be donated to the charity too, but maybe I'll be surprised! Of course, once the locos come into stock and we process all the pre-orders there should be some left over, so keep an eye on the website and you wont need to pay such premiums. Cheers! Fran

Hi Renbow, That sounds excellent, and indeed the Hornby Class 60 cab is also excellent and will be difficult to beat. As we go for lit cab dials we cannot print onto GPPS that small in such great detail required for cab dials , so we leave them clear. The handles are measured and to scale as per a real 31 (no stone left unturned etc). Perhaps this angle is a tad more sympathetic, but with the latest models we are really pushing the possibilities of injection moulding for parts size, assembly and finesse. Hi Ray, No, all blanking plugs are not faulty. It was mentioned above that one customer was having an issue and a replacement blanking plug solved the issue. I merely suggested that it may solve an issue another user was having. It must be remembered that we make thousands of models, so one component could end up faulty in one loco, or one in three locomotives over the production run. It doesn't make all of them duds. A swallow doesn't make a summer after all. As reported elsewhere above, other users on DC have had excellent slow speed performance too, so it's not one hard and fast rule. As for the term "reach out", I promise I'll stop using it if we can promise not to turn a specific problem possible diagnosis and suggested test remedy into a "this specific part in every locomotive must be faulty as Fran said; try that" hyperbole post in response? I think that's a fair deal. If it's on and off, as in intermittent, perhaps it's something to do with the circuitry, but Simon is much better placed than me to answer, so I would suggest emailing us at support again to see if he has any further thoughts? Hi Derek, It is a decoder to give control to all the lighting functions on the driving trailer, with an added stay alive. Similar decoders cost more, and we said we would provide a bespoke decoder to give modellers the DCC functionality to control the lighting functions on the DT. The stay alive was added to aid the light flickering that some owners have reported, and we recommend adjusting the lighting pick ups for best results should your model suffer from flickering, or reaching out to our tech team. Hi @zr2498, Final sound file is just being finalised now. We will likely demo it in the decorated sample of 007 or 149 in the coming weeks.
