  1. Hi everyone, We're back on our travels again this weekend, heading to Sheffield for our "take over" of Rails of Sheffield this Friday and Saturday! Richard, myself and other members of the Accurascale crew will be on hand to meet you and show off our latest wares! Not only that, but Rails will be doing special in store promotions on in stock Accurascale models too over the two days. So, if you're in the area, make sure you stop by, say hi and meet the two teams of Accurascale and Rails of Sheffield. Perhaps plans for another joint exclusive model to follow the Class 89 might be discussed among management too over the weekend.... Maybe you could even tell us both what you'd like to see as our next joint venture over the weekend when you come to visit! Like the 89, it would be something niche, special and have a bit of magic about it. We'd be keen to hear your suggestions. We shall see you there! 2. Hi everyone, A bit of a late addition this one, but I will be attending the Wexford Model Railway Exhibition in the Sunny South East of Ireland this Sunday and Monday from 11am-5pm. I will be there with the latest IRM announcement as well as some IRM and Accurascale goodies for sale on the day. If you’re in the area it would be great to see you! Cheers! Fran
  3. Hi folks, There has been a tech issue with Partially which we have been working on resolving which is why confirmations are being sent out. @McC can provide more details on the particular issue and what it means. Cheers! Fran
  4. Hi folks, I know I said we would have an update on the 31s this week, but the factories have been off due to a festival and will be back next week. We just need to confirm some further details and we will post the full update then. Cheers! Fran
  5. Hi folks, The ships are still chugging along the sea, but 66s should be in your paws in a couple of weeks! I know the handful of 66001s that are here already are getting lonely, but not long now! Cheers! Fran
  6. Hi @adb968008, You're in luck! https://shop.srps.org.uk/product/pre-order-accurascale-oo-gauge-37403-isle-of-mull-dcc-ready-179-99-full-payment/ Cheers! Fran
  7. Hi folks, Jus some more cab sneak peeks! More soon! Cheers! Fran
  8. Hi @Torper, Rewheeling to -P4 using our drop in wheelsets does not invalidate the warranty. Cheers! Fran
  9. Hi Mike, It is not defensiveness, it just allows our tech team to get an idea of the issue so they can suggest remedies such a tweaking switches, CVs or indeed sending the loco back. Seeing the loco in operation on the end users layout in its environment answers a million more questions than a back and forth via email or chat. At the end of the day, "a picture says a million words" and our aim is to get your matter resolved ASAP. This is the reason why we ask for video footage of the problem. Cheers! Fran
  10. It's also disappointing that someone would sell a charity fundraiser for profit, and I am guessing that their profits wont be donated to the charity too, but maybe I'll be surprised! Of course, once the locos come into stock and we process all the pre-orders there should be some left over, so keep an eye on the website and you wont need to pay such premiums. Cheers! Fran
  11. Hi @The Meerkat, It would depend if they were new off their ebay site or second hand. If it is the latter than no I'm afraid. Cheers! Fran
  12. Hi Renbow, That sounds excellent, and indeed the Hornby Class 60 cab is also excellent and will be difficult to beat. As we go for lit cab dials we cannot print onto GPPS that small in such great detail required for cab dials , so we leave them clear. The handles are measured and to scale as per a real 31 (no stone left unturned etc). Perhaps this angle is a tad more sympathetic, but with the latest models we are really pushing the possibilities of injection moulding for parts size, assembly and finesse. Appreciate the feedback and glad you like it. Cheers! Fran
  13. Hi folks, One more teaser before I head to the airport and head to Brum. Full update and lots more pics later next week! Cheers! Fran
  14. Morning folks, We'll just leave this here... 🤭 Make sure you pop by, to see our (almost, we have amended the headcode font and fit) final production sample on the stand. A full update will follow in the coming days. 😎 https://www.accurascale.com/collections/brush-type-2-class-30-31 Cheers! Fran
  15. Hi everyone, 37108 is making swift progress. Anyone on the M6 between Stafford and Birmingham should keep an eye out for it! I better start packing my bag! Cheers! Fran
  16. Hi everyone, Our next outing sees us at Model World live at the NEC next weekend. We are proud to be headline sponsors for this new show, and as well as bringing our big stand with us, we were asked to bring something else that is big too (steady on!!) Can you guess what it is? Rich reveals all below! We look forward to seeing you there! Cheers! Fran
  17. Hi Ray, No, all blanking plugs are not faulty. It was mentioned above that one customer was having an issue and a replacement blanking plug solved the issue. I merely suggested that it may solve an issue another user was having. It must be remembered that we make thousands of models, so one component could end up faulty in one loco, or one in three locomotives over the production run. It doesn't make all of them duds. A swallow doesn't make a summer after all. As reported elsewhere above, other users on DC have had excellent slow speed performance too, so it's not one hard and fast rule. As for the term "reach out", I promise I'll stop using it if we can promise not to turn a specific problem possible diagnosis and suggested test remedy into a "this specific part in every locomotive must be faulty as Fran said; try that" hyperbole post in response? I think that's a fair deal. If it's on and off, as in intermittent, perhaps it's something to do with the circuitry, but Simon is much better placed than me to answer, so I would suggest emailing us at support again to see if he has any further thoughts? Cheers! Fran
  18. Hi Darryl, Can confirm affirmative on your second question! Cheers! Fran
  19. Hi Derek, It is a decoder to give control to all the lighting functions on the driving trailer, with an added stay alive. Similar decoders cost more, and we said we would provide a bespoke decoder to give modellers the DCC functionality to control the lighting functions on the DT. The stay alive was added to aid the light flickering that some owners have reported, and we recommend adjusting the lighting pick ups for best results should your model suffer from flickering, or reaching out to our tech team. Other decoders are available too. Cheers! Fran
  20. Hi @ERIC ALLTORQUE, An initial 50 arrived today, with 200 more not far behind. More on the way! Cheers! Fran
  21. Hi folks, We have teamed up with our friends at DCC Concepts who have developed a decoder with an attached stay alive capacitor specifically for our TPE Mark 5 Driving Trailer. Zen decoder software has always been smooth, clever and easy to use but the new BLACK decoder range takes this to a new level, with extended and improved automatic braking and shuttle abilities, simple-to-use ONE step locomotive set-up and advanced brown-out protection. All DCC Concepts decoders are tested at least 3 times before they package them for sale, so they know that they all work perfectly when sold and you can be quite confident that reliability is assured. Decoder features: 1.1 Amps peak power 750mA continuous power 4 functions at 100mA each 2 additional “logic” functions 22mm x 16.5mm 21-pin direct, 8-pin & harness One-Step Loco Setup Shuttle mode (requires ABC boards for this to function) Stay-Alive connection Decoder Programming: F0 – Head/tail lights F1 – Cab interior lights F2 – Destination boards F3 – Destination mode This decoder is now in stock and can be bought exclusively via the Accurascale website right here: https://www.accurascale.com/products/transpennine-express-mk5a-dt-decoder-stayalive Cheers! Fran
  22. Hi Neil, As outlined by a poster above, a blanking plug was causing an issue with slow running on DC. As @McC suggests, perhaps reach out to our support channels to see if we can assist with same? Cheers! Fran
  23. Hi @Dogmatix, We have included an NEM pocket extension piece in the detailing pack to assist here. Cheers! Fran
  24. Hi @zr2498, Final sound file is just being finalised now. We will likely demo it in the decorated sample of 007 or 149 in the coming weeks. You can always place the pre-order on the website and if you don't like what you hear, just cancel it. It's no money down after all, and keeps the one you want reserved. Cheers! Fran
