About Me
Hi, I'm plarailfan on 'Flickr', you don't have to register or log on, or anything to see my photo's. I have had loads of model railways - I started with them when I was age three, and over the last sixty years, I've had almost everything from Z to LGB, I'm still an amateur and comfortable with that, although, I'm often, but not always, prone to being a little ham-fisted, for instance, http://www.flickr.co...N02/6140564965/
In the past, I've attempted a few slaters O gauge wagon kits, lost OO diesel details in the carpet never to be seen again, but worst of all, when I was in my teens, I made an N gauge class 50 kit, and left the Humbrol paint tin on my bed, I heard a kind of metallic 'pop' and couldn't imagine for the life in me what it was, later I discovered the paint tin on it's side,- with the contents on my quilt, my mum smelled it downstairs and said 'What's happening now' ?
Having been made redundant during the circa 2007/8 banking crisis and economic downturn, I found myself some new employment fairly quickly - unfortunately it came with a substantial drop in earnings !!
My main interest at the moment, are the Tomy plarail, Japanese outline toy trains (hence my user name "plarailfan") and I quite enjoy the "Rail king" league lines, toy train system, which although very basic, provides a lot of fun with opportunities to modify the freight wagons, by adding loads and customising models.
