  1. Breathtaking modelling!!I love the photo of the half cab,the subtle weathering really makes it come alive!
  2. Hi Neil,i found your thread a short time ago and its been a real inspiration.I`ve been struggling to find an identity for my own model and thanks to you i`ve found it!Arlesburgh,on the Sodor section of the LMS!Ps i think your current project the little railcar would be superb as an inspection saloon for Sir Topham.A model of him sat in it would be fun!
  3. Thanks pinkmouse...all done...they work...hallelujah!

  4. I found an old part built Wills 1804 saddle tank on Ebay the other day and decided to try and rescue it.I`m so pleased with it so far i thought i`d post it up.The chassis is a whitemetal casting designed for an XO4 type motor driving the front wheels but i`ve managed to fit aDS10 with a small flywheel, powering the rear drivers. After some tinkering(thank goodness for Romford wheels!)the little tank runs beautifully, the metal chassis and body providing just the right amount of weight for the pickups.i think most modellers today would dismiss a vintage kit like this with its one piece casting for a chassis, but mine proves that they can make up in to really good models with a bit of care. All i have to do now is finish the body and add as much detail as i can.
