  1. Here’s a thing. I didn’t realise until about ten minutes ago that RMWeb keeps a record of all the pictures you’ve uploaded. 3000 in my case - it turns out. So, just for a bit of interest I’m going to post one or two previously seen pictures of the layout in its heyday when it was out and about on the exhibition circuit... Here’s Chris’s marvellous rendition of St Blazeys signal box (which is still there today and operational). Judging by the poor quality photograph it must have been taken from a passing train to Newquay, perhaps an ex Manchester with a 50 up front.
  2. I remember now why I printed them out a few years ago. It was to show the then Head of Track for LNE (I work for NR Eastern Region). He commented that he thought also it was real but after further inspection noticed that the railhead was too flat. I thought at the time, well I can live with that!
  3. Most things are not in my control - this is one of them.
  4. Just having a clear out at work. Found these couple of prints, courtesy of Mr York from “back in the day”...
  5. Hi, Yes the layout is safe and sound stored in my garage along with “Black Country Blues” and the unfinished “Highland Sulzers” awaiting there next call of duty... We all keep in touch as a group albeit we are a lot less prolific than before for various reasons - I think the pressure of creating BCB in such short timescales nearly saw us all off - and took some of the enjoyment out of things. Also I think we are a little less public now than before clearly having had our fill of “fame”. Hopefully after this break for the lurgy we’ll find a renewed impetus...
  6. It’s safely “self isolating” in its box out of the way on a shelf... Its one of these... https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235075785-cargo-tramway-x-series-38030-135/ Don’t ask...
  7. A life boat at that, judging by the waves on Friday...
  8. Well I’ll be damned. One of my regular drives at the moment is out of Whitby north on the A171 and after a few miles turn left back over the moors towards Castleton and on to Kirbkmoorside. I’ve looked at this industrial arrangement time and time again which appears on your left with much fascination not realising what it was!! I need hitting with a large wet fish...
  9. That’s why I questioned it - I didn’t know what was going on...
  10. Bless ya - good answer... (thought you were slagging off my Russian freight tram....)
  11. Good afternoon - it’s been a while, hope you’re all keeping safe and well. Minor announcement today, some how or other - don’t ask me how, I’ve managed to make it to the age of 50 today... Wasn’t going to mention it but then I thought you’re only half a century once, so why not - plus Andy York’s added a birthday cake to my signature - so it’s official... No modelling I’m afraid although I recently bought a Russian freight tram kit... Hopefully things will straighten out in the medium term and we can get back to show or two...
  12. Did you take the photos outside in the sun? The shadows are really something else...
  13. I’ve taken the tension lock coupling off the pipe wagon - what a diffence that makes... And I’ve dug this van out, but I’m not sure if it’s usable or not?
  14. When packing up a layout it can be a bit troublesome tracking down that last bit of stock. That last wagon. There it goes - come back... Cheers.
  15. Fear not. This train is rumoured to be carrying masks - so you’ll all be ok...
