Many relatives were Railwaymen, hence a lifelong interest in Scottish Railways/LNER/ER.

Former preserved railway volunteer who still manages to get on the regulator and on the shovel on occasion, but nowhere near as often as I'd like.

Regular visitor to Poland to indulge in a few mainline footplate turns as part of the Wolsztyn Experience.
