kirley
I was given the opportunity to help operate ‘Killagan’ layout at the North Down Show and I only managed to take few photographs selfishly of my models running on this layout. It was strange to see them running on a different layout but worth the hassle of taking out the decoders to run on DC. My DH pulling Colm's Brakedown Train No4 Railcar, AEC Set and a GNR Blue all on this very NCC layout. DH with Ken's GNR Weedspraying train. There were lots of other interesting traffic movements which I did not photograph, maybe others will post photos of them.
Hunslet 102
Nice photos Kieran and a nice variety of stock. Like the weed train and crane,is the crane scratchbuilt?
kirley
,is the crane scratchbuilt? The Brake down Train is Colm Flanagan's, I think the crane is of Dublo vintage.
colmflanagan
Indeed the "30 ton steam crane" crane is a Hornby Dublo model dating originally from my school days. I did it in 2005. It lost its rather crude winding handles but with a few other tweaks it looks very well. However it is diecast and does NOT run on Bleach Green (we tried!) - it is too heavy to pull up the gradients, unless you double head. Kieran's DH struggled a bit on the level at Killagan. here's a few pictures of it on a previous home layout.
