silverlink
I'm currently building a Slaters 7033 LNER/BR 20ton brake van and am struggling a bit with the etched brake gear in the kit. Does anyone have any photos or drawings of the underside of the chassis showing where the brake gear is fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. dibateg
Hello Ian - this was my interpretation, I think that it is right. It can't be seen much anyway! I hope that helps, let me know if you need any more... Best Regards Tony

DaveCurrie
Hi Tony, I'm new to O gauge kit building and also stuck assembling the brake rigging, there are two small link arm's and I cannot figure out where they go and cannot see them in the picture. Are you able to offer any guidance as to where these go. Kind regards, David.
RMweb Premium Trainshed Terry Posted April 7, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 7, 2021 Which kit are you making "Slaters" or the "Parkside" as I have made the "Slaters" kit, not the best instructions to work from. Terry.
brossard
I built the kit as ex LNER, aka Toad D, and vacuum braked. Here's a couple of pics prior to painting: I did some cobbling to represent the guards manual brake. A picture of the mystery link arms may jolt people's memory. bécasse
There is some useful information, including photographs taken under a van, on Keith Norgrove's website.
