Bachmann Class 08 Crank Rod - spare nut needed!

Hi everyone

 

I have a Bachmann class 08 - thee central pin from the crankshaft has fallen out and I've lost it.

I have gone to Bachmann to ask for a spare but the best they could offer was an entire replacement wheelset with crank rods for £14!

Does anyone have any idea where I can get a replacement?

 Wow 3 yrs later I'm in same quandary.. happened to me just now.. Was looking for a solution.. What did you do.? . I found the nut when it fell out.. (eyesight just passable!) looks like a new wheel set for me unless there's another solution anybody please?

I put small nuts and bolts like this into lumps of Blutac to keep them safe and stop them sacrificing themselves to the carpet monster or making a break for the border

What I did

contacted Bachmann service department and they had an entire wheelset spare

I sent along the entire loco and they were able to locate that nut and replace

 

the other option - if you are in London - is to go to Clerkenwell screws. If they don't have what you need - forget about dingin it anywhere else - they have what you need or something close enough 99 times out of 100
