Dave. Dave, I have several barrier wagons based on the prototypes. One is a continental ferry van with the body removed, one an OCA with body removed and a SAA steel wagon. I am sure Merfyn will be along in a bit to post photos of the prototypes.

Nick G
Having finished my small narrow gauge layout my interest will now return to getting this finished. No new pictures yet so here are some old ones taken by John on his phone...

Nick G
Another addition to the Maentwrog Road loco fleet another loco that actually worked the explosives train there, 47130. Just needs a bit more detailing and a sound chip then its ready for service.
Nick G
A bit of work on the fiddle yard today before I start the Trawsfynydd extension tomorrow.
Nick G
So, the new extension board has been built, just needs painting now. As usual a Tim Horn laser cut board 5ft x 2ft.
Nick G
Bit more progress today on the new board and broke through on the Maentwrog Road board to allow trains access to the new board.
Nick G
Still looking very crude but today the first loco traversed the new board from Maentwrog Road. Also checking train lengths for the nuclear flask siding.
RMweb Gold CovDriver Posted January 1, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 1, 2020 This layout looks absolutely stunning I would love to see it in the flesh one as I've just spent a week in Trawsfynydd with family staying in the old bank in the village. I was tempted to do a similar model of Maentwrog Road but it would never be upto this level so I'll have to stick to being a follower. Cheers Colin

Thanks Colin, it will be out on the exhibition circuit proper in 2021 when the extension is finished starting at the Stafford exhibition.

I will do, when I was down there September time we were actually at the points as theres a sheepcreep there. Couldn't see much for vegetation, but this time of year it might be a bit clearer.

We need a load of shots to make the backscene.

Take a macheti and Sherpa with a week's rations.
Nick G
Wired the connector between the two boards today and ran a loco across the joint to test it. Need to make a back scene and bridge to disguise the opening through the board.
