No; as there is a high risk of sparking or high voltage jumping and igniting petrol or any other volatile distillate. Also, would you walk along the top of a tanker, opening the filler caps knowing there was 25Kv only inches away from your head? GordonC Posted September 21, 2017 Share Posted September 21, 2017 There was an article in Rail Express recently I think it was about a terminal on the Wolverhampton-Birmingham line which was briefly electrified as part of the WCML electrification before it was later take out.
