Fat Controller
Hi all im looking for a suitable 1/76 scale vehicle for a 1950's coal merchant. Regards Mark Pocketbond do an Austin K6- lots of these were WD-surplus, and could be bought for a song. Bedford 'O' series were also common. Oxford Diecast do some of the variant with the angular bonnet.

My father worked for a coal merchant in the late fifties .His company used a pair of Bedford OW ,a Ford Thames and two horses and carts ,another local merchant who supplied smokeless fuels fleet included a half cab Leyland coach with the area behind the rear axle cut down to the window level Edited December 3, 2017 by javlinfaw7
Arthur
I like the sound of that Leyland coach conversion. In those days of lesser regulation hauliers were often quite creative in their workshops. . Edited December 3, 2017 by Arthur
