RTC Tribometer Train Auto trailer

Making a start on the cab windows while the paint dries on the cab front. The Replica MLV cab end is a great kit as you can buy glazing and MU jumpers separately.

I had two left over glazing kits - which would be necessary - as it appears both windows are the same size.

Was able to work on the front last night - added some handrails and test fitted the glazing. Masked up and painted the sides.

I reckon with careful masking and thin, multiple layers, I would get satisfactory results using spray cans from Halfords.

Front is Vauxhall Mustard yellow, sides FIAT Red / Orange (this works best on black primer)

Transfers have been ordered from Railtec

From these close up shots it looks like a bit of tidying up needs to be done on the cab paintwork - guess I will have to sand it down or use a thick gloss to get it perfect or use an airbrush...
