mdvle
Anyone with an Athearn Genesis 2.0 SD60M - there is a defect in the trucks. Athearn has created a simple fix, in about a week a 5 minute video will be put on YouTube showing how to fix them. Around the end of this month there will be a form on the Athearn webpage where you can request the repair kit which will have all the necessary parts (plus some spares for some of them) and printed instructions. The fix does not require taking the shell off of the loco. Any future runs will not have this defect. Edited July 13, 2021 by mdvle 1

mdvle
Athearn SD60M - Repair kit It is now on the Athearn website to request. IMPORTANT - the website gives a price of $5.99 but the product page gives a coupon code to reduce the price to FREE. Also - can't try it, but if you end up with a charge for shipping it might be worth using the email address on the product page to query it before proceeding. http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATHG99507 There is also instructions for those who don't want to do the repair themselves on the product page.
