RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted February 5, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 5, 2019 (edited) Plymouth Station was considerably enlarged and reconfigured, starting in 1938. The war caused delays. What I want to find out is if the over bridge, west of the station (over Saltash Road) was replaced or upgraded at this time or after the war/ in the 50s? I only remember the Station from about 1958 and I am sure the existing bridge was in place then. I have loads of books on the area but none mentions this. I have searched the web this afternoon however the only clue suggests it could have been replaced in 1937 when the station was being extended. Many thanks Phil November 1938 to accommodate the 4 tracks when the station was enlarged. I found a great website about the old railways around Plymouth. exet1095
What’s the website? Very interested in Plymouth’s railways and slowly getting things sorted to build a simplified model of North Road. Thanks, Paul
