Which n gauge dcc decoder

One thing to watch out for is that although Dapol recommend the DCC23 decoder, they made changes to the PCB that means it's not always a good fit and sometimes sits too high for the tender top to go back on.  In my case I have 2 9F's one will take a DCC23 and the other will not, I had to use a Zimo MX616 in that one, the decoder  socket was mounted higher on the second model, it's also said to be an issue with other Dapol locos with the motor mounted in the tender,

The mx616 is a much better decoder than the DCC23 but a double the pride it wants to be.
