RMweb Gold Corbs Posted May 15, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 15, 2019 Hello, I want to embark on a bit of an unusual project that will require lots of donor vehicles, so I'm looking out for some cheap/free Airfix/Diecast/Similar models. Ideally they'd be playworn, have pieces missing, part-assembled etc. Perfect donors for a scrapyard scene or some such. They would need to be in 1/76 or 1/72 scale Wishlist: Commercial vehicles Tankers Vans Cars C-47/Dakota plane Ideally they'd all be pre-1980 era. Thanks! ianmacc
The Hornby (ex-minix) Triumph 2000 and Sunbeam Alpine models are available for pennies on eBay as folk cannot give them away these days. Probably cost more for postage than the cars themselves! Should be able to pick lots up easily. Surprisingly expensive for job lots of apparently knackered diecasts on eBay which I guess is due to the pastime of restoring them. sounds like a fun pastime going to antique centres and swap meets and perusing the 50p boxes. I’ve done similar projects in the past. Edited May 16, 2019 by ianmacc Wrong enoticon
