bigdiesel
Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble getting the body screws out of the new class 90s?
'CHARD
On the Class 90 topic, Charlie Petty (I think) mentioned that he gently uses a flat-bladed screwdriver initially, to encourage any sticky screws to move. It's worth checking what his suggestion was; I don't have time to find the post just now but will check later.
Pete the Elaner
I assume you meant the screws which attach the roof panel which hides the DCC board? They are phillips-type screws, but they are quite blunt so a nice-sharp phillips driver will have no grip. I spoke to Charlie at the weekend & he suggested getting a slightly oversized phillips driver, but make the point a little blunt by filing off the end first. I did exactly this & the screws came out without too much effort. 2
tractor_37260
Worth trying a small size O Pozidrive screwdriver they tend to have better grip and a less pointed end. 1
