This livery was carried by 1426 for only two years from its overhaul/repaint in Caerphilly works in Mar/Apr 60 until withdrawal in April 62. A very narrow window! thirty2a
So have decided to have the hidden siding as a through scenic track, hope it gives a bit of extra operational scope and allows slightly longer trains. Will need to build a cassette now as don't want another full board really, it will be to large! I did test it with the 14xx and auto coach, fab :-) I think it's starting to have a bit of W&U feel about it now.

Sithlord75
Where did the tram come from? Seriously tempted.... I have etches to do the W&U in 2mm - thinking Outwell Basin but that's a lot of building.
thirty2a
Always thought Outwell Basin would make a great layout to be honest, the Sentinal is Skytrex the Y6's are Connoisseur kits 1
thirty2a
it is a little known fact that the powers that be tested WR push pull on the W&U in latter years in order to see the viability of return to passenger operation, the results were inconclusive..
thirty2a
The rear hidden track now very visible and blended in making it a through line , I just need a photo back scene to complete and re work the front fascia, it is not big enough to my mind. The layout as a whole is working fine and even managed to knock up a quick cassette/ hidden siding for the new through track.
