Owd Bob
The 16mm society are reporting the sad passing of Brian Dominic, a well known figure in the garden railway world and his many magazine articles, thanks for making garden railway modelling affordable and cheerful. I was lucky enough to meet him a few times at the Butterley garden railway layout and at a few of the shows over the years.
RMweb Gold 08221 Posted October 8, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 8, 2019 Thats very sad news, Brian was very involved with the 2' gauge line at Butterley at one point and our paths crossed through that common interest. My condolences to all concerned.
RMweb Gold Not Jeremy Posted October 9, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 9, 2019 How very sad, great bloke and onetime owner of the "other" Rumpus narrow boat. RIP Brian Simon
Titan
I knew him well, both from the GVLR and the 16mm NG association. Think the last time i met him was at the Derby model railway show where he set up what could only be described as a pop up battery powered 16mm railway with wooden track on one of the cafe tables!
