Mike Harvey
After having my enjoyment designing bodies for SNCF Corail compartment stock, I have now made the 1/160 scale .stl files available for free download from the Shapeways site. This will give printer owners the opportunity to redesign to suit other donor chassis such as the Piko Vu chassis, or resize to suit their needs, or just print at home far more cheaply than using Shapeways. To use the "Download Product" option you must be signed in to Shapeways, and the button appears at the end of the product description for each individual body. Edit in October 2022 New link for all the print files:- https://tinyurl.com/ys7dzd8z Edited October 20, 2022 by Mike Harvey Changed link to files 1
Mike Harvey
Following some problems with the integrity of some of the files downloadable from my Shapeways shop, I have now loaded the original files onto Google Drive after running all of them through Accutrans and Nettfab. The links below provide a free download of the files for the SNCF Corail coaches, and some door and interior files. The download links on Shapeways will be removed. Mike Harvey
I have added the complete range of the driving trailers in the B6Dux family to the range of free N 1/160 print files. Details in this downloadable document. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rRyl8l37VL0oSeEDXqyBtUcZ47XpZi5E/view?usp=sharing This example was printed in grey resin for me by Hexa-cubed. Mike Harvey
Since I started drawing up the files for 3D printing, I had no intention of duplicating commercially available items, except where those were inaccurate. This was when I was selling through my Shapeways shop. However, now that the files are for home printing or printing in a local 3D print shop, I have decided to complete the range of bodies with the four missing couchette cars and the B6Dd2 second class/baggage car. I think that I have now covered every type including later conversions. To round things off I have drawn up 2 chassis to suit the two different bogie centre options (19.0 metres/18.4 metres), and the gangways to go on the coach ends. So far there is the ambulance car, https://drive.google.com/file/d/18HbvTUfwRF9andJ5OGQae7s8ATUg1W8o/view?usp=sharing and 3 different versions for the B6Dux driving trailer family. Mike Harvey
To almost complete this series of coaches, I have drawn up interiors to suit either my 3D printed chassis or the Roco/Fleischmann Eurofima chassis. There are still half a dozen of the more esoteric types to complete. The linked document also includes an interior and special chassis for the B5uxh driving trailers, and improved interiors for the B6Dux family of driving trailers. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_v91YYY1eEbgqWmpHk23sNxxSNh8u4HT/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_v91YYY1eEbgqWmpHk23sNxxSNh8u4HT/view?usp=sharing
Mike Harvey
I have revised some of the .stl files for the interiors including improved definition of the seats and correction to an error which had crept into the 2nd class/baggage car interior file. I have also added the 7 vehicle types not previously represented for Téoz, pilgrimage, and TER cars, and the original Vu78 cars designed for disabled passengers in the 1980s (B7Dux) with their modern day equivalent (B7uh/B7uxh) found in almost all intercity and TER Corail services today. nCPortugal
Hi Mike Harvey I wish that everything is fine with you and your family in the first place let me congratulate you for sharing your great work regarding sncf carriages stl files It's very hard to find people who share things with so much value without asking for anything in return. sorry to be asking this but it will be possible to have a stl file of the B5uxh VU78 "nose" ? Mike Harvey
Hello Carlos Thank you for your kind words. Sorry to say that I do not have the file for the B5uxh cab. You need to purchase a print via Shapeways from Theo. https://www.shapeways.com/product/XJKJLHYN8/bloc-cabine-b5uxh?optionId=114867252&li=marketplace On the bright side, you do have access to my free files for the rest of the body, the chassis and the interior. There is a transfer sheet for the TER Bourgogne B5uxh available from my friend Hugues Fruchet at HFR160. https://hfr160.fr/?s=bourgogne&submit=Recherche Edited July 21, 2022 by Mike Harvey
nCPortugal
Hello Mike thank you for answer me please don´t be sorry I understand and I do not take back any of my words regarding your generous attitude of sharing things of such value and that I imagine they have given you so much work and time to do please can you tell me if you have drawings with measures of B5uxh VU78 ? because until now I only find drawings but without measures sorry I only have this to share do you already know this ones ? https://docrail.fr/les-voitures-pilotes-reversibles-corail-b5uxh/ https://cults3d.com/ sorry for my suggestion but you wouldn't be interested in putting your files on this site more people could enjoy your extraordinary stl files Thank You Obrigado.........................Carlos
Mike Harvey
Hi Carlos None of the SNCF B5uxh drawings I have include detailed dimensions. Regarding publishing on Cults3D, I prefer to retain some small level of control over the source of the STL files, and I have made arrangements for their future availability when I die. Publishing them on Cults would be a huge job. There is nothing to prevent anyone from modifying my files and placing them on Cults etc. in their own name. I have other priorities now due to changes in my personal and family circumstances.

Mike Harvey
Hi Carlos I am not intending to undertake any further work on these files. Changes in my personal circumstances mean that files which are available now cannot now be amended by me. Part of the purpose in making them freely available for people to print themselves at home or through a local printing house in their own country was so that they could amend any of my free files to suit their personal requirements. You could always print the whole body and remove the part you do not want to keep, though I do not really understand why you would want to do this. If you are planning to join the longer printed cab + window to a Piko body, you should be aware that the Piko body has windows which are placed too low in the bodyside, and the windows are of different dimensions to my designs. There would be a very obvious difference in appearance either side of the join. Perhaps you could explain what you are trying to achieve. Send me a direct message . justin1985
Thanks so much for posting these Mike! I'm tempted to try printing them scaled down for Z - any thoughts? (did you work to a particular minimum wall thickness etc?) Justin
Mike Harvey
Justin The general wall thickness in N 160 is 0.75mm. This allows for some cut in features such as the weld seam on the lower bodyside without getting below about 0.65mm. So in 1/220 scale you are going to be around 0.5mm minimum so that might just work. People printing them in N have found that they come out well with the roof the last part to print so with the steps nearest the build plate and the body parallel to the build plate. Be interested to see if you can make it work in Z. There is a new link to all the files here. https://tinyurl.com/ys7dzd8z
