They seem to have influenced some of the earlier manufacturers - like Tri-ang doing the corridor S.R. Bogie Passenger Luggage Van and Ks doing the unusual GWR steel mineral with doors at both ends but only a small door in the side. Paul 1
kada33
Thank you Paul, Major W. L. Sparks started off with his articles in the MRN magazines as I've listed in my blog over a 4 year period. MRC started in 1934 and in 1935 he started a series of articles 1-9 spread over 1935/6. In my blog at the bottom of the 'Sparks' articles you will see nos 7,8 &9. I've just received today H/B versions of MRC 1935,6,7 & 9 + MRN H/Bs for 1938,9. Major Sparks titled his series 'Beginner's Luck' so with the purchase of 1935 I now have the first 6 in his series. In time I will list these in my blog in front of the 3 already there. Major W. J. Sparks died on the 2nd January 1949, just for information. Thank you all for your support. I've been a GWR modeller for over 35 years and now model the same in Gauge 1 currently building 2 Python P14's & an 04 6 wheel Milk Siphon.
