Westhouses

I was originally planning on having a Concrete Sleeper factory in the Private siding, but the area is not large enough to display anything without overcrowding.

I think I will stick with my current plan of making it into a Rail contractors yard.

Trackplan, I have one, just a matter of locating it, please bare with me.

The Fencing was attached to the posts, very simply with Super Glue, to which lies a story but I won't go there.

The Buildings are indeed PikeStuff, the main shed was two kits modified into one. I still have lots to do to these buildings yet, they are currently only in their bare form.

The Rail Crane is a Kibri Gottwald HO model, as is my latest addition below, a Plasser and Theurer Tamper that I have finshed in Volker Rail colours.

Yeh you're right there DanielB. I was meaning the actual location. The layout is really good and is a great example of what could have been if the original was still with us, that's progress for you.

Hi Richard,

What's the reference of the yellow paint used on this Plasser & Theurer USP 2000 SWS Track Profile Machine?

I just received this kit and I should start to build it next month.

Can you please send me more detailed photos of your model?

I'm trying to gather as many information and data as possible in order to produce a more accurate model.

Your model is awesome!

Thanks.

Regards,

Ayala Botto

Mr Ed Scott,

The Big Yellow thing is a Network Rail Plasser USP 2000 Ballast Cleaner which makes up part of my HOBC train (saving pictures of that until the layout is finished)

Here it is, waiting to clear Blackwell yard, behind 66705, on it's way to Doncaster.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for being offline for 18 months, I had to leave Singapore at rather short notice and unfortunately ended up having to break up the layout.

When I started out building the layout I never gave any thought to making the layout portable, so when time came to move it was impossible to disassemble the layout in any practical way.

After spending 15 months in Aberdeen, I have just moved back to Nottinghamshire and commenced building a new layout "Portlethen", look out for a new layout post in the next few days.

Thanks to everyone who followed Westhouses and gave so much encouragement.

Richard
