sncf231e Posted December 13, 2020 Share Posted December 13, 2020 In 1928 both the German Mitropa and the Belgium/French CIWL introduced a luxury day train between Amsterdam and Basel (and Luzern). The Rheingold of the Mitropa ran via Germany while the Edelweiss from the CIWL went via Belgium and France.
