Ron Ron Ron
ESU have replaced their "budget" decoder, the LokPilot Standard, with an entry level version of their LokPilot 5....the LokPilot 5 Basic. Initially available in.... 8-pin (Art. No. 59020 ) & 21-pin MTC (Art. No. 59029 ) Replacing LokPilot Standard models with the same connector types However, no mention yet of a replacement for the PluX12 model. This should spell the end of the identical, but rebadged ESU decoders sold under the Bachmann brand, the 36-557 (21-pin) and 36-566 (8-pin). The LokPilot 5 Basic comes with RailCom Plus, Lenz ABC, Brake on DC etc, plus smoother, improved motor control with an autotune feature. Both versions have 4-function outputs, with the 21-pin version also having an additional 8 logic-level outputs, 2 of which are suitable for controlling servos. .
