Garry Morris
Can't let this date pass without marking the 50th anniversary of D1000 Western Enterprise being released to traffic in Desert Sand livery.

RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted December 20, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 20, 2011 It's all propaganda - in truth it was hardly in traffic for a day or three. I went out specially to pho it and did indeed get 1000 on its booked working - the disappointment (then, but not in retrospect) was that the 1000 in question did not have a 'D' in front of its number and was only 6 coupled instead of 6 coupled + 6 coupled.
