Keithg
I am about to build the "loco" part of a JLTRT Kit and there are several items that reqire the builder to solder overlay items to the brass chassis & body parts. What is the best way to undertaken this work? Do I need a very hot iron? Do I spend funds on a resitance soldering unit? Are there any articles written that will help, consider the "lenght" of these parts. Look forward to constructive replies. Thanks Keith
HeavyDuty
Connoisseur Models has a very nice downloadable brochure on their site that addresses soldering overlays; the instructions for the tram loco go into more detail if I recall correctly.
