RMweb Gold Adam1701D Posted October 14, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 14, 2014 East Coast today named 91111 "For the Fallen" to commemorate 100 years since the outbreak of WW1 - the loco has been outshopped in a simply stunning vinyl livery. I was able to grab a few pictures as it came through Peterborough...

RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted October 14, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 14, 2014 Tastefully done, I wonder if any special edition could give a couple of quid to the Royal British Legion.
Guest B Exam
Apparently the first of 5 locomotives to be painted to commemorate WW1 centenary. 91118 expected to be done next with a livery based on tanks. Of note, 91111 still carries Cuneo's painted mice.... One can be seen in the 2nd photo below the grille sitting on the purple stripe.
Dan Griffin
It's absolutly stunning. Signalled it today, especially like the V on the front. Very special
St. Simon
Hi, Very nice, going to be complex to paint in model form though! It's interesting how much the new scheme has taken away of the yellow Front, although it still must conform to the standards, as it's been allowed! GraemeMc
Amazing livery, hopefully a photo opportunity will arise with all the WW1 locos, and 91110 in the Battle of Britain scheme, once they are all complete. I assume it was no coincidence that this particular loco was selected, seeing as its number contains "eleven eleven".
bigwordsmith
Why a Cuneo mouse? I'm probably not keeping up but didn't know he'd ever liveried a '
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted October 20, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 20, 2014 It was previously named Terence Cuneo
