johnarcher
Just a quick question, does anyone know of a source of Great Southern transfers - especially coach crests, class numbers and GS's for freight stock. I know Blackham list them, but I am not fond of rub-down transfers and their ordering seems very complex - standard sheets would be preferable. Also one can get usable GS's from HMRS pre-group Scottish sheet, and reasonable class numbers from, I think, a Southern one - but that means quite a lot of wastage. Horsetan
Try Des Sullivan at Studio Scale Models.
johnarcher
Thanks for the suggestion, on their website they do show a few GS's among other things on a general freight sheet, but no coach crests etc. Their stuff mainly seems to be more modern. David Jackson
Railtec Transfers may be able to produce decals for you, if you can supply copies of what you want. Studio Scale Models may also be able to do that. It is worth making enquiries.
Castlefinn
For what its worth I use the S&D crests from the Pressfix MR,S&d etc sheet, that also has suitable class designations, all the coaches on Valencia use these and it hasn't been spotted yet. There are also suitable buffer beam lettering for GS engines as well.Andy. Thank you, what an attractively devious idea. I'll look into it.
