    Open weekend of the N Gauge Society's Yorkshire Area Group 22nd & 23rd October. Open 11:00-16:00 Saturday, 10:00 to 15:00 on Sunday.
     
    Come and find out more about the Yorkshire Area Group, the N Gauge Society and N Gauge modelling.
     
    At least three N gauge layouts will be attending the Yorkshire Area Group's open weekend, including a 40' long monster.
    Trains running over the weekend include British, Continental, American and Japanese.
     
    Trade support from Mount Tabor models.
     
    Visitors are welcome to bring trains to run - we will have both DC and DCC layouts in operation.
     
    Members have a wide range of interests from 1950s Germany to modern day American and just about everything British.
     
    Free entry (but donations welcome!)
     
    Members and non-members of the N Gauge Society are welcome.

    Birmingham MRC are again holding an exhibition - St Cuthberts Church Hall, Tangmere Dr, Castle Vale, Birmingham B35 7PL. There will be layouts in all of the major scales & gauges supported by societies & traders.     Layouts in 2mm, 4mmm & 7mm scales and at least 5 traders. Latest attendees booked - The Wagon Works, 4mm scale dcc controlled layout.       Cupar Model Rail 2025 is scheduled for the 19th and 20th of July at The Corn Exchange in Cupar, Fife.
       
      This annual exhibition, organised by the Cupar & District Model Railway Club, has become a must-visit event in East Scotland for railway enthusiasts. The show will feature over 15 model railway layouts across various scales, quality trade stands, modelling demonstrations, and a cafe.
      Each adult admission includes a free colour show guide (while stocks last), and accompanied children (ages 0-15) can attend for free, making it an ideal family outing.
       
      The exhibition runs from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM on both days.
      The venue is fully accessible, with both free and paid parking options available nearby, and is within comfortable walking distance from the Cupar railway station and the town has excellent bus connections.

    • Robertsbridge Model Railway Show 24-25 May 2025

         Good little show. Bit biased though as I’m exhibiting at the show and have done so for a couple of years now.
       
    • Gauge O Guild Winter Show

    • The National Festival of Railway Modelling @ NEC

         Considering this is the first show by BRM I thought they did a reall good job. 
      Quibbles: I know you have to rent the floorspace by the square metere, but it got a bit crowded at times between stalls/layouts. 
      Positives: Lots of good trade support, some superb layouts, and very helpful friendly staff.
      Warley was always going to be a hard act to follow, and the organisers did well. 
      I can see this growing in the future 
    • Tyneside Model Railway Exhibition

         Drove down from Lanark early on Saturday morning (6 hour round trip!) to arrive shortly after 10am.  The first surprise was seeing my cousin showing his O gauge layout in the foyer (shown as east Glasson port authority on the programme but it wasn't that). Nice to have a chat with him as we've not met for a couple of years. Moving on to the main halls, there seemed to be plenty of space for viewing, helped no doubt by my being there so early. I'd driven down especially to see Grantham, Pelaw and Fencehouses having seen them in the mags and I wasn't disappointed so spent at least an hour swapping between the three. All three layouts exceeded expectations but it was also great to see Richmond in the flesh, it having only just appeared in print last month. I saw Alston in Glasgow in February and there's been no drop in quality. However,  my favourite (and I'm probably biased as I'm modelling the s&c) was Kirtley Bridge - what a superb layout, the quality of modelling and the atmosphere was outstanding. I think I spent around 3 hours at the show and was absolutely wrecked by the time I got home but it was well worth it. I'll be watching out for next year's dates to make sure they're kept clear.
