    Huddersfield Railway Modellers are holding their annual exhibition in Holmfirth Civic Hall on Saturday and Sunday 29th and 30th of October. There is a free vintage bus service provided from Huddersfield Railway Station to the venue. Many exhibits including Hebden Bridge, full trade support, new,second hand and kits and bits etc. First class refreshment facilities and in the centre of Summer Wine country with ecellent real ale pubs in the vicinity. Usually one of the best club shows in the North of England and well worth a visit

    Bring your O or OO gauge locos and trains to run on our clubs two large test tracks. DC and DCC available, but no sorry "live steam".
    This is not an exhibition but a chance to try out your models and meet fellow modellers.
    Refreshments availble all day, plus members "bring and buy" stand.
    Expert help on hand by knowledgable club members if you have any problems with your models.
    Doors open at 10.00 am.

      Cupar Model Rail 2025 is scheduled for the 19th and 20th of July at The Corn Exchange in Cupar, Fife.
       
      This annual exhibition, organised by the Cupar & District Model Railway Club, has become a must-visit event in East Scotland for railway enthusiasts. The show will feature over 15 model railway layouts across various scales, quality trade stands, modelling demonstrations, and a cafe.
      Each adult admission includes a free colour show guide (while stocks last), and accompanied children (ages 0-15) can attend for free, making it an ideal family outing.
       
      The exhibition runs from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM on both days.
      The venue is fully accessible, with both free and paid parking options available nearby, and is within comfortable walking distance from the Cupar railway station and the town has excellent bus connections.

    • Robertsbridge Model Railway Show 24-25 May 2025

         Good little show. Bit biased though as I’m exhibiting at the show and have done so for a couple of years now.
       
    • Gauge O Guild Winter Show

    • The National Festival of Railway Modelling @ NEC

         Considering this is the first show by BRM I thought they did a reall good job. 
      Quibbles: I know you have to rent the floorspace by the square metere, but it got a bit crowded at times between stalls/layouts. 
      Positives: Lots of good trade support, some superb layouts, and very helpful friendly staff.
      Warley was always going to be a hard act to follow, and the organisers did well. 
      I can see this growing in the future 
    • Tyneside Model Railway Exhibition

         Drove down from Lanark early on Saturday morning (6 hour round trip!) to arrive shortly after 10am.  The first surprise was seeing my cousin showing his O gauge layout in the foyer (shown as east Glasson port authority on the programme but it wasn't that). Nice to have a chat with him as we've not met for a couple of years. Moving on to the main halls, there seemed to be plenty of space for viewing, helped no doubt by my being there so early. I'd driven down especially to see Grantham, Pelaw and Fencehouses having seen them in the mags and I wasn't disappointed so spent at least an hour swapping between the three. All three layouts exceeded expectations but it was also great to see Richmond in the flesh, it having only just appeared in print last month. I saw Alston in Glasgow in February and there's been no drop in quality. However,  my favourite (and I'm probably biased as I'm modelling the s&c) was Kirtley Bridge - what a superb layout, the quality of modelling and the atmosphere was outstanding. I think I spent around 3 hours at the show and was absolutely wrecked by the time I got home but it was well worth it. I'll be watching out for next year's dates to make sure they're kept clear.
