Nailsea & District MRC presents their annual at the brand new school in Nailsea, opened in 2009. The Sports Hall provides half as much space again than Clevedon - importantly it is in one hall and all on one level. A minimum of 20 layouts with a wide range of traders, demos and societies.

The London Festival of Railway Modelling 26th March 2011 to 27th March 2011.
London’s leading model railway event returns for two days filled with 40 working model railway layouts handpicked by The Model Railway Club, specialist shopping and FREE demonstrations.
On display at the show will be over 100 exhibitors showcasing their product range which includes some of the very best models, tools, parts and accessories.
The Show will also include the West Hall an area which will bring together a selection of clubs, associations, societies, specialist exhibitors and enthusiasts who will be on hand across the course of the weekend to offer advice, tips and demonstrations aimed at improving modelling skills.
Whether a new or experienced modeller, there is something for everyone

The National Festival of Railway Modelling @ NEC

Considering this is the first show by BRM I thought they did a reall good job.
Quibbles: I know you have to rent the floorspace by the square metere, but it got a bit crowded at times between stalls/layouts.
Positives: Lots of good trade support, some superb layouts, and very helpful friendly staff.
Warley was always going to be a hard act to follow, and the organisers did well.
I can see this growing in the future

Tyneside Model Railway Exhibition

Drove down from Lanark early on Saturday morning (6 hour round trip!) to arrive shortly after 10am. The first surprise was seeing my cousin showing his O gauge layout in the foyer (shown as east Glasson port authority on the programme but it wasn't that). Nice to have a chat with him as we've not met for a couple of years. Moving on to the main halls, there seemed to be plenty of space for viewing, helped no doubt by my being there so early. I'd driven down especially to see Grantham, Pelaw and Fencehouses having seen them in the mags and I wasn't disappointed so spent at least an hour swapping between the three. All three layouts exceeded expectations but it was also great to see Richmond in the flesh, it having only just appeared in print last month. I saw Alston in Glasgow in February and there's been no drop in quality. However, my favourite (and I'm probably biased as I'm modelling the s&c) was Kirtley Bridge - what a superb layout, the quality of modelling and the atmosphere was outstanding. I think I spent around 3 hours at the show and was absolutely wrecked by the time I got home but it was well worth it. I'll be watching out for next year's dates to make sure they're kept clear.
