    South West Model & Hobbies Show 2012

    For the 2012 two day exhibition we are offering very completive fixed price trading space rates to selected companies and experienced traders, whilst recognizing the current market position affecting trade in the UK, a number of positive changes are planned for 2012, include designated areas for the various hobbies.
    The large Showering Pavilion ground floor & balcony will be exclusively for 40+ model railway layouts, trade & all 40,000 plus square feet. Please see www.ukmodelshops.co.uk for a list of exhibitors & traders
    The East Somerset Society of Model & Experimental Engineers ‘LIVE STEAM’ Ride on railway will operate in the grounds with over one mile of track. See website; www.essmee.org.uk
    Other halls will contain model aircraft, model boats, model tanks, war-games
    The Sedgmore hall will be dedicated to indoor flying,
    The Edmund Rack Hall will be exclusively for R/C cars & tanks,
    The Mendip Hall will be for boats, linking areas will be for specialist traders of tools & engineering.
    Plus large outdoor displays of R/C flying, boats, hovercraft and much, much more…
    An organized full facility caravan site is available, with mains power & water outlets
    For exhibitors on-site basic bedrooms/showers/toilets are available
    A large on-site restaurant provides quality meals for breakfasts & lunches, a number of fast food stalls.
    Parking on site for 5,000 plus cars and all ‘CHILDREN FREE ENTRY’ to the exhibition.
    In 2010 we had 8,351 public visitors attending, 2011 was an attendance 10,800 so for 2012 we will provide a wider range and greater selection for the public, come and join us.
    If you the new Model Railway enthusiast or a well experienced modeler by visiting the SHOWERING PAVILION at the Bath & West Showground in the Spring of 2012, you will have the opportunity of viewing some of the very best Model Railway Layouts from all over UK.

    The Model Railway section will be supported by a good selection of the best 50 +model railway traders from all over UK, a number offering ‘SPECIAL SHOW BARGAINS’, and advice to obtain
    the ultimate in modeling.
     
    In addition there will be demonstration workshops and experts on hand to give advice, ideas and inspirations.

      Cupar Model Rail 2025 is scheduled for the 19th and 20th of July at The Corn Exchange in Cupar, Fife.
       
      This annual exhibition, organised by the Cupar & District Model Railway Club, has become a must-visit event in East Scotland for railway enthusiasts. The show will feature over 15 model railway layouts across various scales, quality trade stands, modelling demonstrations, and a cafe.
      Each adult admission includes a free colour show guide (while stocks last), and accompanied children (ages 0-15) can attend for free, making it an ideal family outing.
       
      The exhibition runs from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM on both days.
      The venue is fully accessible, with both free and paid parking options available nearby, and is within comfortable walking distance from the Cupar railway station and the town has excellent bus connections.

      The Chatham & District Model Railway club are excited and proud to announce the return of The Chatham Show and its coming back home to the Chatham Historic dockyard and slip 5 on the 20/21st of july
      The show is coming back even bigger now.
      It will have 100+ exhibitors
      50 layouts booked in
      Half price entry to Chatham dockyard with show tickets.

    • Robertsbridge Model Railway Show 24-25 May 2025

         Good little show. Bit biased though as I’m exhibiting at the show and have done so for a couple of years now.
       
    • Gauge O Guild Winter Show

    • The National Festival of Railway Modelling @ NEC

         Considering this is the first show by BRM I thought they did a reall good job. 
      Quibbles: I know you have to rent the floorspace by the square metere, but it got a bit crowded at times between stalls/layouts. 
      Positives: Lots of good trade support, some superb layouts, and very helpful friendly staff.
      Warley was always going to be a hard act to follow, and the organisers did well. 
      I can see this growing in the future 
    • Tyneside Model Railway Exhibition

         Drove down from Lanark early on Saturday morning (6 hour round trip!) to arrive shortly after 10am.  The first surprise was seeing my cousin showing his O gauge layout in the foyer (shown as east Glasson port authority on the programme but it wasn't that). Nice to have a chat with him as we've not met for a couple of years. Moving on to the main halls, there seemed to be plenty of space for viewing, helped no doubt by my being there so early. I'd driven down especially to see Grantham, Pelaw and Fencehouses having seen them in the mags and I wasn't disappointed so spent at least an hour swapping between the three. All three layouts exceeded expectations but it was also great to see Richmond in the flesh, it having only just appeared in print last month. I saw Alston in Glasgow in February and there's been no drop in quality. However,  my favourite (and I'm probably biased as I'm modelling the s&c) was Kirtley Bridge - what a superb layout, the quality of modelling and the atmosphere was outstanding. I think I spent around 3 hours at the show and was absolutely wrecked by the time I got home but it was well worth it. I'll be watching out for next year's dates to make sure they're kept clear.
