The Model Railway Club annual spring open day - a chance to come and visit our clubrooms, find out more about us and the benefits of joining the largest and oldest model railway club in the world.
This year our multi award winning layout Copenhagen Fields will be running. It's your chance to see this layout in full for free!
We'll also have Lacey Dale (N gauge) and Oakworth (our young MRC layout) running.
The extensive library will be open for browsing, there's a range of pre-owned items for sale, and we'll have refreshments available too.
Please note there are stairs to all rooms, please contact us in advance if you would like more information about accessibility

02025 marks our third annual Models Weekend
On the 9th & 10th August, join us at Market Bosworth Railway Station on The Battlefield Line Railway for an impressive display of model railways from N to 7 1/4" scale, a variety of trade stands and also the latest models on show from Bachmann Europe!
We will also have a new showcase theme this year where we have multiple layouts depicting a similar prototype, TBC nearer the time.

0Brighton MRC will be holding one of their occasional sales day on Saturday 16th August 2025. It will be from 1000 to 1400 at the Clubrooms on London Road railway station, Shaftesbury Place, Brighton BN1 4QS.
There will be a large selection of preowned Model Railway items including locomotives, rolling stock and accessories, mainly OO gauge.
No charge for admission.
There will be refreshments available
If you are thinking of joining the club this is an ideal opportunity to see the facilities and what we do.

0Hosted by the Ulster Model Railway Club, the Belfast Model Railway Exhibition will take place this year at Belfast Royal Academical Institution, in the heart of the city centre, Saturday and Sunday 23-24th August. Please note the new venue for the exhibition. It will be held in the sports hall on the school campus. Access will be through the entrance gates on Fisherwick Place. The sports hall is towards the rear of the complex.
We will have around 20 layouts, eight traders and a mix of special interest groups and modelling societies in attendance.

Quibbles: I know you have to rent the floorspace by the square metere, but it got a bit crowded at times between stalls/layouts.
Positives: Lots of good trade support, some superb layouts, and very helpful friendly staff.
Warley was always going to be a hard act to follow, and the organisers did well.
I can see this growing in the future
