The Festival of British Railway Modelling returns to the Doncaster Racecourse on 8th-9th February 2020 for its 24th year with another premier event for hobby enthusiasts, novices and families to enjoy.
Children’s step stools are available so they can watch the train sets working and ask any questions. Visit the children’s area to make Free kits from Dapol & Metcalfe, enter a colouring competition or a layout quiz with prizes from Hornby.
Visitors can enjoy browsing over 30-handpicked layouts with a 'Best of British' theme and purchase must-have items in a variety of major scales and gauges from over 80 quality traders.
There will be expert demonstrations, giving you an opportunity to learn about new techniques or ask any questions you might have.
Take advantage of free parking or the free shuttle bus service from Doncaster Railway Station to the venue.

This workshop concentrates on hand-finishing techniques that can be employed to complement airbrush work or to use as stand-alone weathering treatments. It is an opportunity to try out and compare several tools and materials, all supplied for your use, although you can bring your own if you have already chosen some.

The annual Winter exhibition and get together of the French Railways Society offers a wide mix for the enthusiast or modeller as well as anybody with an interest in railways, non members are very welcome. There will be 12 model railway layouts, trade stands selling models, books, and other memorabilia plus other railway society stands. We will have a varied programme of talks and slideshows, please see details below. Refreshments are available throughout the day.
Please note that train times to/From Lenham are modified on the day. Check with National Rail and Southeastern Railway

0This is a family themed show utilising club and club member's layouts and guest layouts in various scales plus 009 gauge layouts courtesy of Merseyside & SW Lancashire 009 Gauge Society.
There will be trade support , club shop and a refreshment service.
Admission price includes entry to the 009 Gauge Society Merseyside & SW Lancashire show - layouts, trade, demonstrations, society stand.

WMRA Annual Exhibition

Excellent show. plenty of free parking, over 30 layouts, lots of traders and full catering. I liked the scenery on the illustrated 009 gauge Feorag layout set in an imaginary island west of Cornwall. TT:120 seems to be well received with two small oval layouts on display.

I was there for a MBF meeting/exhibition last Saturday. Excelent hall with all the facilities you need.
The bus from the station was a very good help for those that want to come by train rather than drive.
