    Once again the exhibition is being held at Eggars School, London Road, Alton, Hampshire. GU34 4EQ
     
    It takes place on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th February 2024.
     
    Doors will open on Saturday at 10.30 until 17.00, on Sunday it's 10.30 until 16.00.
     
    Admission for Adults is £8.00, accompanied children under 16 are admitted free.
     
    This year we have additional and extended free parking at the school, and a large dedicated area for disabled drivers near the entrance doors.
     
    There is wheelchair access to all areas, and help is available if required.
     
    Hot and cold refreshments will be available throughout both days and will be served in the school refectory which will be signposted from the halls.
     
    For visitors coming by rail a free preserved bus service will be running from Alton station  to the exhibition.

    FEBEX 2024 features a dedicated presentation / demonstration area accessed off the Main Hall.
    Elliott Cowton will be demonstrating techniques to make your stock look more realistic. Simon Thorn will be building locos from brass kits, and Garry Peach who will be demonstrating building structures from MDF kits.
    More information on the presenters , and a timetable of the demonstrations will be displayed at the main entrance and also outside the presentation room.

    Entrance £6.  
    Bring your O, OO, or N gauge locos and trains to run on our club’s three test tracks. 
    DC and DCC is available, but sorry no “live steam”.
    Our Test Track Open Day is not an exhibition, but a chance to meet fellow modellers and try out your models.
    Expert help is on hand from knowledgeable club members if you have any problems with your models, and we very much welcome new members should you wish to join the club.
    Refreshments will be available all day.

      Cupar Model Rail 2025 is scheduled for the 19th and 20th of July at The Corn Exchange in Cupar, Fife.
       
      This annual exhibition, organised by the Cupar & District Model Railway Club, has become a must-visit event in East Scotland for railway enthusiasts. The show will feature over 15 model railway layouts across various scales, quality trade stands, modelling demonstrations, and a cafe.
      Each adult admission includes a free colour show guide (while stocks last), and accompanied children (ages 0-15) can attend for free, making it an ideal family outing.
       
      The exhibition runs from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM on both days.
      The venue is fully accessible, with both free and paid parking options available nearby, and is within comfortable walking distance from the Cupar railway station and the town has excellent bus connections.

    • Robertsbridge Model Railway Show 24-25 May 2025

         Good little show. Bit biased though as I’m exhibiting at the show and have done so for a couple of years now.
       
    • Gauge O Guild Winter Show

    • The National Festival of Railway Modelling @ NEC

         Considering this is the first show by BRM I thought they did a reall good job. 
      Quibbles: I know you have to rent the floorspace by the square metere, but it got a bit crowded at times between stalls/layouts. 
      Positives: Lots of good trade support, some superb layouts, and very helpful friendly staff.
      Warley was always going to be a hard act to follow, and the organisers did well. 
      I can see this growing in the future 
    • Tyneside Model Railway Exhibition

         Drove down from Lanark early on Saturday morning (6 hour round trip!) to arrive shortly after 10am.  The first surprise was seeing my cousin showing his O gauge layout in the foyer (shown as east Glasson port authority on the programme but it wasn't that). Nice to have a chat with him as we've not met for a couple of years. Moving on to the main halls, there seemed to be plenty of space for viewing, helped no doubt by my being there so early. I'd driven down especially to see Grantham, Pelaw and Fencehouses having seen them in the mags and I wasn't disappointed so spent at least an hour swapping between the three. All three layouts exceeded expectations but it was also great to see Richmond in the flesh, it having only just appeared in print last month. I saw Alston in Glasgow in February and there's been no drop in quality. However,  my favourite (and I'm probably biased as I'm modelling the s&c) was Kirtley Bridge - what a superb layout, the quality of modelling and the atmosphere was outstanding. I think I spent around 3 hours at the show and was absolutely wrecked by the time I got home but it was well worth it. I'll be watching out for next year's dates to make sure they're kept clear.
