Roding Valley MRG ExhibitionOur 10th exhibition will take place at Leytonstone Methodist Church, Leytonstone High Road, London. E11 3DA.
On Saturday 22nd May 2010. (10.30am to 5pm).
There are six exhibiting areas in total, so there's always lots to see.
LAYOUTS
34D:- 00 Gauge model of Hitchin Diesel depot in the 1960s, with DCC sound.
Avon Quay:- 009, Narrow Gauge. An imaginary West Country town on a river estuary with a harbour & industrial activity. At the quay there is Avon Quay station & then the line climbs up to the town station at High Avon.
Hill Country:- N Gauge. Hill's Junction is set in the foothills of the Rockies somewhere in Colorado in the nominal time period of the late 60s. The town grew up round the railway & the Junction is used for changing train crews when they are operating on Out & Back Duties.
St Nicholas:- 00 Gauge, 1970s. An imaginary Spa town on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak district.
Cherio Charlton:- 7mm scale representation of Woolwich Road, Charlton, London, outside the central Repair Depot of London Tramways in 1952.
Fenchurch Cuttings:- 00 Gauge. Three platform City terminus with loco spur & parcels depot on the lower level & a small loco depot on the upper level dated in the early 1960s.
Gamle Carlesberg:- 7mm, 16.5mm track. Carlsberg brewery layout. Operated as a Shunting Puzzle.
Groombridge:- 4mm, 16.5mm gauge. The layout is based on a station & track layout from the Southern Region of BR period up until 1985.
Purbeck:- 009. Set in the 1950s on the Isle of Purbeck, carrying Clay & Passengers.
Dog Kennel Hill:- A quadruple track layout representing the 1in10 hill in Dulwich with a service of 90 trams per hour!
St Judes Dock:- EM. Set in the period of 1890-1905, St Judes Dock is a small quay on the River Lea, where Mr Leakey has his Hydraulic Power Supply Company. This supplies the power for the Telescopic Bridge.

By Bus- 2mins walk from the CRC Guided Bus stop. Direct Buses from Huntingdon and St.Ives, Cambridge City Centre, Cambridge North and Cambridge Railway Station and Trumpington Park & Ride.
By Rail - Nearst railway station is Cambridge North - then either two stops on the Guilded Busway or 25 mins walk.
