A 4 mm OO Gauge Finescale layout depicting a location a few hundred yards south of Leicester Central Station in British Railways days 1948 - 1963.
Bonnington Goods by Bob Rowlands.
Scale 4 mm, OO Gauge depicting the goods yard in Edinburgh in 1950's and 60's British Railways.
Pen-Y-Madoc by Steve Farrow
Scale 4 mm, EM gauge; a 'might have been' loosely based on Porthmadog, Wales in Great Western days in the summer of 1938.
Crumley and Little Wickhill by Hull MRS
Scale 4 mm, OO9 Gauge. The Roth Valley Tramway (RTV) is a fictitious 2'6" gauge railway serving several small communities high in the Pennines around the Lancashire/Yorkshire/Cumberland border area.

Elliot Bridge by Stirling & Clackmannan District MRC
Scale 4 mm, OO Gauge. The mainline is a classic Midland Railway secondary through route. Double tracked and with passing loops, here we will see Cross Country passenger services and regional DMUs together with long distance mail, coal, steel, stone and intermodal traffic.
Port St David by Renfrewshire MRC
Scale 7 mm, O Gauge. A Great Western Railway secondary line, with an occasional Southern Railway visitor and a branch off to a dock side.

Scale 4 mm, OO Gauge. A former double track mainline, singled under the Beeching cuts, featuring a distillery which is still served by rail.

In addition to the many layouts and trade stands at Perth Model Railway Show we are pleased to announce there will be FREE DCC (Digital Command Control) seminars provided courtesy of DCC Supplies Ltd which you can book, in advance, to attend during the exhibition. DCC Supplies will also have their trade stand and will be glad to assist you further on an individual basis as well as offer for sale the equipment you need to get started or to build your sustem. This will cover an introduction to DCC but will also provide information and help for users of all experience levels.
We have very limited spaces and will run two seminars per day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon so advanced booking is highly recommended. Any remaining spaces will be distributed on a strictly first come, first served basis. To book your space, please contact our Exhibition Manager using the link at our website (www.perthmrc.com/page5.htm). Book Your DCC Seminar We will need your name and your required slot. You will be advised of the exact time of the seminar in due course.

Organised by, and all proceeds to, the Middleton Railway Trust
Open 10:00 to 16:00 each day (steam passenger trains operating regularly between 10:30 and 15:30 from Moor Road station), light refreshments available in the shop/café. Free parking on site or nearby streets.
Admire the models set amongst the real thing in our Engine House. You can also travel on a full-size steam train. There is also the opportunity to drive a full-size locomotive, as we will be operating a footplate experience on one of our locomotives – when did you last do that at a Model Railway Exhibition? A suggested donation of £5 and no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old and not older than 76 to take part in the footplate experience.
Except for the footplate experience all areas of the exhibition and the train ride are accessible to visitors with disabilities.
Admission – which covers Exhibition plus unlimited train rides:
Adult: £9
Child: £4
We are expecting up to 16 layouts in a variety of scales: OO, 0.165mm and 009 at least. Layouts will include: Stanley Ferry (OO), Leeds Trams (OO), Queensbury Depot (O), Bryn Oriog (009), Bishopgate (O) and Oakdale (OO), Bishopgate (O), Outwell Village (OO), Arfer Yard (0.165mm NG) and Whitborough Quayside (16.5mm)
Traders will include: Going Loco, Helm Models & Hobbies, Batterdale Scenics & Electronics and Leigh Models & Hobbies
Reminding us that model railways are fun too we also have Lego, vintage Tri-ang and Tri-ang Hornby operating.
This is an event for all the family – not just the modeller. When the non-modellers have exhausted the facilities, we offer at Moor Road we have Middleton Woods and Park at the top of the line, the Tulip Retail Park is opposite, and the White Rose Shopping Centre is just a short distance away. We pride ourselves on a welcome for all – come and experience it for yourselves.

0In support of the Risborough Festival on Saturday 11th July 2026, the Risborough & District Model Railway Club will be holding an Open Day at the Princes Risborough St. Mary's Hall (Church Street) from 10:00 to 16:30. We plan to part exhibit our new O gauge layout project, as well as our Test Track for members of the public to test their rolling stock on. There will be second hand sales, refreshments and some modelling displays. Admission is FREE.

Weston-Super-Mare Model Railway Show 2026

Great mix of layouts and trade,
....but the floorplan created real bottlenecks around the entrance which was also the route between halls (via the changing rooms!) and so was already going to be busy anyway. But there were further trade stands and coffee stand put there.... creating groups of people lingering and blocking...... why oh why!
The catering van outside - ended up giving up because as we all stood queuing to buy food, nothing happening in the van, there was a lot of playing with kids and babies but the 4 people there couldn't manage to free up one to take orders.

SOUTHAMPTON MODEL RAILWAY SHOW -JANUARY 24TH/25TH 2026

Despite South West Trains' best efforts I managed to get to the exhibition on time. I had my doubts when they announced at Southampton Central Station that my train would be running non stop to Waterloo but I got on a Cross Country train that stopped at Southampton Airport. The pictures show:
1. My arrival at the exhibition on a heritage bus provided by the organisers.
2. There were a lot of people at the exhibition and a huge queue for the coffee machines. There seemed to be more people there than in previous years.
3. Essence of Ventnor in 0 gauge was one of the splendid layouts there. I saw it last year at the Brockenhurst exhibition.
4. Seaton Junction in 00 gauge was another interesting layout. There was an N gauge model of Seaton Junction at Pecorama that it donated to our model railway club so I found it interesting to see Seaton Junction in a larger scale.
I was not so lucky with my return journey as South West Trains was unable to run any trains from Southampton Central to Bournemouth and Weymouth so I ended up having to catch a taxi to Bournemouth.

WMRA Annual Exhibition

Excellent show. plenty of free parking, over 30 layouts, lots of traders and full catering. I liked the scenery on the illustrated 009 gauge Feorag layout set in an imaginary island west of Cornwall. TT:120 seems to be well received with two small oval layouts on display.
