    South West Model & Hobbies Show 2012

    For the 2012 two day exhibition we are offering very completive fixed price trading space rates to selected companies and experienced traders, whilst recognizing the current market position affecting trade in the UK, a number of positive changes are planned for 2012, include designated areas for the various hobbies.
    The large Showering Pavilion ground floor & balcony will be exclusively for 40+ model railway layouts, trade & all 40,000 plus square feet. Please see www.ukmodelshops.co.uk for a list of exhibitors & traders
    The East Somerset Society of Model & Experimental Engineers ‘LIVE STEAM’ Ride on railway will operate in the grounds with over one mile of track. See website; www.essmee.org.uk
    Other halls will contain model aircraft, model boats, model tanks, war-games
    The Sedgmore hall will be dedicated to indoor flying,
    The Edmund Rack Hall will be exclusively for R/C cars & tanks,
    The Mendip Hall will be for boats, linking areas will be for specialist traders of tools & engineering.
    Plus large outdoor displays of R/C flying, boats, hovercraft and much, much more…
    An organized full facility caravan site is available, with mains power & water outlets
    For exhibitors on-site basic bedrooms/showers/toilets are available
    A large on-site restaurant provides quality meals for breakfasts & lunches, a number of fast food stalls.
    Parking on site for 5,000 plus cars and all ‘CHILDREN FREE ENTRY’ to the exhibition.
    In 2010 we had 8,351 public visitors attending, 2011 was an attendance 10,800 so for 2012 we will provide a wider range and greater selection for the public, come and join us.
    If you the new Model Railway enthusiast or a well experienced modeler by visiting the SHOWERING PAVILION at the Bath & West Showground in the Spring of 2012, you will have the opportunity of viewing some of the very best Model Railway Layouts from all over UK.

    The Model Railway section will be supported by a good selection of the best 50 +model railway traders from all over UK, a number offering ‘SPECIAL SHOW BARGAINS’, and advice to obtain
    the ultimate in modeling.
     
    In addition there will be demonstration workshops and experts on hand to give advice, ideas and inspirations.

    Berkshire Area Gruop of the N Gauge Society Exhibition & Open Day to be held at Sindlesham Baptist Church, Wokingham, Reading RG41 5BB. Features the Groups large four track modular mainline layout plus up to nine others and a small trade support. Open 10am to 4pm. Light refreshments & free parking available.       Pendle Forest Model Railway Society is pleased to announce that its annual exhibition at Park High School, Venables Avenue, Colne, Lancashire, BB8 7DP, what3words/// relegate:awkward:prompt, will this year include a range of hobby interest as well as plenty of model railway action. Opening times are 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday.
       
      Twelve+ layouts are expected to attend as well as eight+ traders, our Society second hand stall, demonstrations including 3D printing by Three Peaks Models, children's activities, wargamers, slot cars and drift cars.
       
      Refreshments and light meals will be available along with plenty of free car parking.  A free shuttle bus will operate between the venue and Colne railway station and bus station, timed to connect with East Lancs Line trains. A free brew will be offered to anyone who has travelled by train!
       
      Entry costs £7 for adults, £6 for concessions, £4 for children and £16 fora family of two adults and two children.

      Open: Sat. 15th Nov. 2025, 10:00 – 16:00 (Recommended last admission 15:00)

      Admission: Free but donations welcomed.

      Four club layouts available:
      Fernhill Junction (Large twin track mainline loop with branch), Dunball to St Monica’s (long branch line spiral), Ballan Road (50s-70s compact rural loop and branch), Test Track (quad loop for 3-rail, 2-rail, DC and DCC). New layouts in construction:
      Aberbraan (mixed gauge) Wagon Works (standard gauge)
      Also: Demonstrations from the Merseyside Area Group of MERG (Model Electronic Railway Group) and others.

      Visitors are welcome to bring O-gauge locomotives & stock to run.

      Amenities: Free parking on site and nearby (alongside park). Public transport nearby. (See club website, below, for details.) Light refreshments available.
