    1. Aldermouth - O gauge 1930's GWR branch line terminus.
    2. Barrack Way - N gauge.
    3. Beaulieu-les-mines - HO9 narrow gauge railway set in a Belgium town.
    4. Children's Corner - OO gauge Thomas layout for children to drive a train for a small donation to Hampshire & I.O.W Air Ambulance.
    5. Claybridge Town - N gauge three-rail electric layout set in south London around 1967.
    6. Lego World - A layout using fourth generation Lego trains.
    7. Longmoor - N gauge layout based on the Longmoor Military Railway.
    8. Lynton And Barnstable - OO9 narrow gauge based on the Lynton and Barnstable Railway.
    9. Mackie Road - OO gauge 1980's diesel depot somewhere in Scotland.
    10. Newport South - OO gauge Isle of Wight layout.
    11. Nictun 2K - ​OO gauge modern image layout set somewhere in the south.​
    12. Southurst - OO gauge British Railways Southern Region branch line terminus.
    13. Zwiesboden Renoviert - ​HO diesel layout based in eastern Bavaria.​  

    14. Ex-Southampton Corporation Bus AEC Swift No 1, JOW499E, will be on static display outside.
    15. 3mm Society - Demonstration of 3mm building construction.  

    Together with the following eight trade stands:
    1. AAR Models: Diecast in N to 0 Gauge, also Thomas and Gifts For the Children.
    2. Coleman Books: All sorts of transport books.
    3. DoubleO Scenics: Static Grass Specialists and Other Scenic Items with demostations.
    4. John Henderson: A Comprehensive Selection of Mint As New and Pre-Loved Models and Rolling Stock in 00 Scale Plus Accessories.
    5. Iris Guscott Books; A very good book stand with the proceeds going to the Scleroderma Society.
    6. Phil's Model Transfers: ​Phil's transfers can be used for any model road transport vehicles.
    7. Ron Lines: New and Second Hand Model Railway Items Plus Accessories.
    8. Southampton And District Transport Heritage Trust Project 15 Appeal​.  

    There will also be:
    - Refreshments and a bar (12.00 to 15.00)
    - Free parking  

    The only locations that are not wheelchair friendly are the refreshment area and stage, however assistance will be available if required.

      Shoeburyness Model Railway Club are proud to present their 41st Annual Model Railway Exhibition
      Being held again at The Seaglass Centre, Thorpe Hall School, Wakering Road, Southend on Sea, Essex SS3 9SF.
      on 2nd & 3rd August 2025 open from 10am both days, closes 5pm Saturday and 4pm on the Sunday

      We will be listing the booked exhibits for the show in the next couple of weeks.

      Twickenham & District MRC are re-launching their annual G Gauge Event on August 2nd. The club has always had a strong G gauge following and at the moment we have seven dedicated G gaugers and we're looking to attract a few more.
       
      The Event will run in our clubrooms from 1pm to 5pm and will feature our G gauge layout RIVER STREET GAS WORKS, plus our G gauge circular test tracks PLUS we will be setting up three G gauge tracks in the field alongside our clubrooms for LIVE STEAM RUNNING!!!
       

       
      Anyone reading this is welcome to come along and bring stock to run. There is no charge for the G gauge event, but there will be a BBQ available on the day which we will need to charge for if you want to partake.
       
      PLEASE send me a PM if you wish to take advantage of the BBQ as we want to make sure that we have enough food on site to cope with demand.

      2025 marks our third annual Models Weekend
       
      On the 9th & 10th August, join us at Market Bosworth Railway Station on The Battlefield Line Railway for an impressive display of model railways from N to 7 1/4" scale, a variety of trade stands and also the latest models on show from Bachmann Europe!

    • Robertsbridge Model Railway Show 24-25 May 2025

         Good little show. Bit biased though as I’m exhibiting at the show and have done so for a couple of years now.
       
    • Gauge O Guild Winter Show

    • The National Festival of Railway Modelling @ NEC

         Considering this is the first show by BRM I thought they did a reall good job. 
      Quibbles: I know you have to rent the floorspace by the square metere, but it got a bit crowded at times between stalls/layouts. 
      Positives: Lots of good trade support, some superb layouts, and very helpful friendly staff.
      Warley was always going to be a hard act to follow, and the organisers did well. 
      I can see this growing in the future 
    • Tyneside Model Railway Exhibition

         Drove down from Lanark early on Saturday morning (6 hour round trip!) to arrive shortly after 10am.  The first surprise was seeing my cousin showing his O gauge layout in the foyer (shown as east Glasson port authority on the programme but it wasn't that). Nice to have a chat with him as we've not met for a couple of years. Moving on to the main halls, there seemed to be plenty of space for viewing, helped no doubt by my being there so early. I'd driven down especially to see Grantham, Pelaw and Fencehouses having seen them in the mags and I wasn't disappointed so spent at least an hour swapping between the three. All three layouts exceeded expectations but it was also great to see Richmond in the flesh, it having only just appeared in print last month. I saw Alston in Glasgow in February and there's been no drop in quality. However,  my favourite (and I'm probably biased as I'm modelling the s&c) was Kirtley Bridge - what a superb layout, the quality of modelling and the atmosphere was outstanding. I think I spent around 3 hours at the show and was absolutely wrecked by the time I got home but it was well worth it. I'll be watching out for next year's dates to make sure they're kept clear.
