    THE Show For The Railway Modeller, Totally N Gauge

    This major two day show is dedicated to N GAUGE and is THE show not to be missed.

    There is a full range of modern image, steam, continental and American layouts on display; along with society displays and demonstrations.
     
    Organisers expect over 40 specialist suppliers to be present, showcasing all the latest models and products, making it THE place to visit and stock up on all the models and materials any model rail enthusiast could ever need.
     
    There will also be over 30 layouts on display depicting Modern, Steam, American, and Continental layouts, as well as 5 of the leading societies for N Gauge enthusiasts.
     
    This is a hugely popular specialist railway exhibition and totally focuses on N Gauge.  Nowhere else can you see and enjoy the N Gauge scale in such volumes of either layouts or exhibitors making it the only place to see all things N Gauge.

      Brighton MRC will be holding one of their occasional sales day on Saturday 16th August 2025. It will be from 1000 to 1400 at the Clubrooms on London Road railway station, Shaftesbury Place, Brighton BN1 4QS.
       
      There will be a large selection of preowned Model Railway items including locomotives, rolling stock and accessories, mainly OO gauge.
       
      No charge for admission. 
      There will be refreshments available
       
      If you are thinking of joining the club this is an ideal opportunity to see the facilities and what we do.

      Hosted by the Ulster Model Railway Club, the Belfast Model Railway Exhibition will take place this year at Belfast Royal Academical Institution, in the heart of the city centre, Saturday and Sunday 23-24th August.  Please note the new venue for the exhibition. It will be held in the sports hall on the school campus. Access will be through the entrance gates on Fisherwick Place.  The sports hall is towards the rear of the complex.  
       
      We will have around 20 layouts, eight traders and a mix of special interest groups and modelling societies in attendance.

         Good little show. Bit biased though as I’m exhibiting at the show and have done so for a couple of years now.
       
    • Gauge O Guild Winter Show

    • The National Festival of Railway Modelling @ NEC

         Considering this is the first show by BRM I thought they did a reall good job. 
      Quibbles: I know you have to rent the floorspace by the square metere, but it got a bit crowded at times between stalls/layouts. 
      Positives: Lots of good trade support, some superb layouts, and very helpful friendly staff.
      Warley was always going to be a hard act to follow, and the organisers did well. 
      I can see this growing in the future 
    • Tyneside Model Railway Exhibition

         Drove down from Lanark early on Saturday morning (6 hour round trip!) to arrive shortly after 10am.  The first surprise was seeing my cousin showing his O gauge layout in the foyer (shown as east Glasson port authority on the programme but it wasn't that). Nice to have a chat with him as we've not met for a couple of years. Moving on to the main halls, there seemed to be plenty of space for viewing, helped no doubt by my being there so early. I'd driven down especially to see Grantham, Pelaw and Fencehouses having seen them in the mags and I wasn't disappointed so spent at least an hour swapping between the three. All three layouts exceeded expectations but it was also great to see Richmond in the flesh, it having only just appeared in print last month. I saw Alston in Glasgow in February and there's been no drop in quality. However,  my favourite (and I'm probably biased as I'm modelling the s&c) was Kirtley Bridge - what a superb layout, the quality of modelling and the atmosphere was outstanding. I think I spent around 3 hours at the show and was absolutely wrecked by the time I got home but it was well worth it. I'll be watching out for next year's dates to make sure they're kept clear.
