In our popular venue of Fort Pitt Grammar School, Chatham, Kent our 21st Exhibition will offer a greater selection of layouts, covering a variety of scales and gauges with high quality trade support for both the average & specialist modeller. Admission rates for adults remain unchanged at £5 for the eleventh year, while rates for children and families remain at very low rates - £2 and £12, respectively!
This year's layouts, from N Gauge to 1/32 scale, include: Alt Furka; Cato Pass; Downlands; Gravesend West (exhibition debut); Habbaniya, Iraq 1941; King West; Maxwell; Medway Quay; Midhurst; Oaklands; Paddington; Scallywag Corner; Westfield and a live steam layout, plus other exhibits. There is also the usual selection of trade stands, societies and demonstrators - and we're pleased to feature internet modellers Clarisse Leviton and Reese Comer.
Wheelchair access, free on-site parking and a friendly atmosphere await the visitor, plus modelling demonstrations. A range of hot & cold food/refreshments is available.
Fort Pitt Grammar School is about 5-10 minutes walk from Chatham Railway Station & close to Rochester/Chatham Town Centres, and the A2/M2 - follow the signs for the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) Rochester, we are next door. In fact, why don't you leave the car at home this year and use our free bus service linking Strood, Rochester and Chatham stations with Fort Pitt Grammar School (on both days - Saturday 7 September and Sunday 8 September).
The free bus service will start from Fort Pitt Grammar School around 10.00, operating a shuttle to/from the school serving Chatham, Rochester and Strood stations as well as the Royal Engineers Museum, Gillingham to serve the Medway Modelling Club Show and connect with the Medway Open Top Bus Tour. A great show, as always. Some excellent layouts. Thank you to all concerned.

Weston-Super-Mare Model Railway Show 2026
By ianmianmianm,
Great mix of layouts and trade,
....but the floorplan created real bottlenecks around the entrance which was also the route between halls (via the changing rooms!) and so was already going to be busy anyway. But there were further trade stands and coffee stand put there.... creating groups of people lingering and blocking...... why oh why!
The catering van outside - ended up giving up because as we all stood queuing to buy food, nothing happening in the van, there was a lot of playing with kids and babies but the 4 people there couldn't manage to free up one to take orders.

SOUTHAMPTON MODEL RAILWAY SHOW -JANUARY 24TH/25TH 2026
By Robin Brasher,
Despite South West Trains' best efforts I managed to get to the exhibition on time. I had my doubts when they announced at Southampton Central Station that my train would be running non stop to Waterloo but I got on a Cross Country train that stopped at Southampton Airport. The pictures show:
1. My arrival at the exhibition on a heritage bus provided by the organisers.
2. There were a lot of people at the exhibition and a huge queue for the coffee machines. There seemed to be more people there than in previous years.
3. Essence of Ventnor in 0 gauge was one of the splendid layouts there. I saw it last year at the Brockenhurst exhibition.
4. Seaton Junction in 00 gauge was another interesting layout. There was an N gauge model of Seaton Junction at Pecorama that it donated to our model railway club so I found it interesting to see Seaton Junction in a larger scale.
I was not so lucky with my return journey as South West Trains was unable to run any trains from Southampton Central to Bournemouth and Weymouth so I ended up having to catch a taxi to Bournemouth.

WMRA Annual Exhibition
By Robin Brasher,
Excellent show. plenty of free parking, over 30 layouts, lots of traders and full catering. I liked the scenery on the illustrated 009 gauge Feorag layout set in an imaginary island west of Cornwall. TT:120 seems to be well received with two small oval layouts on display.
