Kenavon Railway Society Model Railway Exhibition 2023Model Railway Exhibition in support of the Cholsey & Wallingford Railway.
Venue: The Warehouse, 1a Cumberland Road, Reading RG1 3LB (behind Mr Cod). Please use Wycliffe Baptist Church's car park on Norwood Road.
Approx 18 layouts plus traders including Stonethwaite (016.5), Bembridge, Whitedown, Pitt Street Bridge, Wallingford (00), Tansey Bank, Hampton Vale, Oxfordshire Narrow Gauge Modellers (009), Paddock Hill (N)
Adults £4:50, Seniors £3.50, Children £2, Families £10
The Hall is fully wheelchair accessible and is on bus routes 13,14,(Reading Station-Woodley),4,X4, (Reading-Bracknell), 126,127,128 (Reading-Maidenhead), 850 (Reading/Henley/Marlow/Wycombe).

RISBOROUGH & DISTRICT MODEL RAILWAY CLUB - RISEX 2023 MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITIONThe Risborough & District Model Railway Club will be holding a Model Railway Exhibition at the Community Centre, Wades Park, Stratton Road, Princes Risborough, HP27 9AX, on Saturday 18th February 2023 from 10:00 to 17:00. The exhibition will feature the very best local layouts, trade support and demonstrations. There will be second hand sales, refreshments and some modelling displays. Harrogate Model Railway Group annual model railway exhibition
Harrogate Model Railway Group is hosting its annual exhibition at a new location, Gracious Street Methodist Church, Chapel Street, Knaresborough HG5 8AN
The new venue is located in the centre of Knaresborough, a tourist attraction in its own right. There is easy access to public transport and public car parking. The venue offers full disabled access and a cafeteria. The venue is about a five minute walk from the local bus station, served by a number of bus routes, and Knaresborough railway station, served by Northern Rail, is about a 15 minute walk from the venue. Taxis are also available.
Why not make a day of your visit? Take in the local tourist attractions, such as the castle, or River Nidd boating, along with a visit to our exhibition?

Weston-Super-Mare Model Railway Show 2026
Great mix of layouts and trade,
....but the floorplan created real bottlenecks around the entrance which was also the route between halls (via the changing rooms!) and so was already going to be busy anyway. But there were further trade stands and coffee stand put there.... creating groups of people lingering and blocking...... why oh why!
The catering van outside - ended up giving up because as we all stood queuing to buy food, nothing happening in the van, there was a lot of playing with kids and babies but the 4 people there couldn't manage to free up one to take orders.

SOUTHAMPTON MODEL RAILWAY SHOW -JANUARY 24TH/25TH 2026
Despite South West Trains' best efforts I managed to get to the exhibition on time. I had my doubts when they announced at Southampton Central Station that my train would be running non stop to Waterloo but I got on a Cross Country train that stopped at Southampton Airport. The pictures show:
1. My arrival at the exhibition on a heritage bus provided by the organisers.
2. There were a lot of people at the exhibition and a huge queue for the coffee machines. There seemed to be more people there than in previous years.
3. Essence of Ventnor in 0 gauge was one of the splendid layouts there. I saw it last year at the Brockenhurst exhibition.
4. Seaton Junction in 00 gauge was another interesting layout. There was an N gauge model of Seaton Junction at Pecorama that it donated to our model railway club so I found it interesting to see Seaton Junction in a larger scale.
I was not so lucky with my return journey as South West Trains was unable to run any trains from Southampton Central to Bournemouth and Weymouth so I ended up having to catch a taxi to Bournemouth.
