    The NMRS are pleased to announce that we shall be holding our 2023 show over the weekend of 20th and 21st May. Following the positive feedback and experience, we shall be hosting the show once again at the Grenoside Community Centre (directions to find it are listed below).

    The entry fees will be:

    - Adults £7
    - Children £3
    - Family (2 adults and 2 children) £15

    As at our previous shows, each adult ticket entitles the bearer to a free cup of tea or coffee from the café.

    Directions to get to the venue by car:

    - if travelling from the north of Sheffield or Manchester
                 - Follow the A61 (J36 of the M1) and follow signs for Sheffield (North)
                 - Take the first right turning after the speed limit drops from 50mph to 30mph (Norfolk Hill)
                 - Turn left at the crossroads towards the top of the hill
                 - The venue is approx. 250 yards on the left, by the zebra crossing
    - If travelling from the south of Sheffield
                 - Follow the A57 (J33 of the M1) and follow signs for Sheffield (Centre) on the Sheffield Parkway
                 - Follow signs for A61(N) onto Derek Dooley Way (Inner Ring Road)
                 - Follow signs for Barnsley on A61 and continue past SWFC football ground
                 - Continue on the A61 to the end of the dual-carriageway
                 - Turn left at crossroads with traffic lights (signposted for Grenoside Crematorium)
                 - Turn right at crossroads onto Main Street
                 - The venue is approx. 500 yards on the right by the zebra crossing

    Car parking is available at the venue - if the car park is full, please use on-street parking nearby.

    Directions to get to the venue using Public Transport:

                 - Bus service 86 runs from Chapeltown to Sheffield City Centre (and Lowedges), connecting with National Rail services at Chapeltown, and runs half-hourly on Saturday (hourly on Sundays). Service 86 is operated by Stagecoach. Services stop right outside the venue.

      Whitwell & Reepham Railway, Norfolk, New Years Day
       
      Featuring Lawrie Rose from the LMM (Laurie’s Mechanical Marvels) YouTube Channel and his Ruston 48 ‘Sir William McAlpine’. His locomotive will be providing train rides from 11am – 3pm (Standard Fares). He shall also be conducting a Q&A Session from 4pm onwards.
      Furthermore, a modest model railway exhibition (Free entry, but donations gratefully received) will be situated in the Sidings Function Room. This will be open from 11am – 3.30pm. It shall showcase 10 working layouts.
      “The Sidings” café and bar, the station museum and shop will be open.

      The Wessex Association of Model Railway Clubs 2026 Model Railway Show held at the Cheese and Grain, Market Yard, Justice Lane, Frome BA11 1BE.  10+ layouts, numerous trade, demonstrators and Society stands.  Full disabled access and easy parking.  Excellent catering.  Adults £6.  Accompanied Children (under 16) Free.

      Our open days are held in our Keighley Clubrooms on the 3rd floor of Knowle Mill (Keighley Business Centre), BD21 1SY. There is limited off-road free parking, plenty of free on-street parking and lift access (please note we do not have disabled toilet facilities).  Full home-made hot and cold catering is provided by the Denholme Scout Group throughout the day.
       
      Layouts in all scales (N gauge to G scale) will be running and visitors have free use of our multi-scale test track to run their own stock. There is often trade support from Ellis Clark Trains (used rolling stock and bargain rummage boxes).
       
      Entry: Adults - £4, Children under 16 - £2 (under 5 free), Family (2+2) - £10.
