   Middleton Railway …

   Organised by, and all proceeds to, the Middleton Railway Trust
   
   Open 10:00 to 16:30 each day (steam passenger trains operating regularly between 10:30 and 15:30 from Moor Road station), light refreshments available in the shop/café.
    
   Admire the models set amongst the real thing in our Engine House. You can also travel on a full-size steam train. There is also the opportunity to drive a full-size locomotive, as we will be operating a footplate experience on one of our locomotives – when did you last do that at a Model Railway Exhibition? A suggested donation of £5 and no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old and not older than 76 to take part in the footplate experience.
    
   Except for the footplate experience all areas of the exhibition and the train ride are accessible to visitors with disabilities.
    
   Admission – which covers Exhibition plus unlimited train rides:
   Adult: £10
   Child: £4
    
   We are expecting up to twelve layouts in a variety of scales: O, OO, N, T & 009 at least. Layouts will include: Ribblehead (T), Colyer Street (4mm), Hakone Tozan Mountain Railway (N), Watson Street (4mm) and Winn Street (O)
    
   Reminding us that model railways are fun too we also have vintage Tri-ang and Tri-ang Hornby operating.
    
   Traders will include Keith’s Model Railways, Helm Models & Hobbies, Leigh Models and Hobbies and some second-hand tables.
    
   This is an event for all the family – not just the modeller. When the non-modellers have exhausted the facilities, we offer at Moor Road we have Middleton Woods and Park at the top of the line, the Tulip Retail Park is opposite, and the White Rose Shopping Centre is just a short distance away. We pride ourselves on a welcome for all – come and experience it for yourselves.

   A new Model Railway event hosted by the G Scale Society Kent Group with gauges from 45mm down to Z Gauge. Static displays along with railway related groups/societies present.
   
   Located 0.8mile from Ashford International Railway Station.
