This is an exciting and bold step by the Macclesfield Group. Over 25 Layouts in all the major scales and eras, plus some new Trade to compliment our usual array of trusted Traders who come back year after year.

FULL details will be found on here when all Layouts have officially confirmed their attendance.

THIS SHOW IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!! As usual, the Exhibition team have scoured the country for the best layouts ( Including several exhibiting for the first time ) and are proud of their line up to bring the visitor, the best experience possible.

Also available upstairs, is the Sixth Form Restaurant which will be serving Hoit and Cold food/drinks on both days. There is also an easy access lift for users of mobility chairs/scooters from the ground floor up to the Restaurant, where there are also floor to ceiling windows giving a great view of the Exhibition below.

    Many thanks

Large continuous run Cambrian in the 1950’s.
Yet again, another layout making its Exhibition
bow after the group purchased the layout from
the very well known professional modeller,
Geoff Taylor. The group have extended the

    17/ Rolvenden                               -     4mm Scale, 18.83 P4 Gauge by Robin Gay.

19/ Staroleko Wielkopolski          -     3.5mm Scale, HO Gauge by Bill Roberts. Yes,
Another layout making its exhibition debut from
well known ‘Belgian Bill’ Continuous run
depicting 1990’s Polish main line practices.

20/ Swiss Pass                              -      3.5mm, HO Gauge by the Barrow-in-Furness
Club. Very large, all action Swiss main line,
continuous run layout boasting both standard
                                                                 gauge and Metre Gauge lines.

21/ Tamerton Foliot                     -      4mm scale, 009 Gauge by Jules Attard.
From the man who brought you ‘ Macclesfield Hibel Road’ Jules has modelled
In a different direction this time, with his very neat depiction and using the village of Tamerton Foliot in Devon as the                                                                           inspiration. Fictional period.

22/ Thorne Yard                                -    4mm Scale, OO Finescale by Simon Howard.
1980’s Diesel Era layout drawing inspiration
From Midlands and Scottish practice of the
                                                                    time.

23/ Winter Overcoats                        -    4mm Scale 009 Gauge by Charles Insley.

    24/ Wedmore                                    -     7mm Scale, 32mm Standard Gauge and 16.5
mm Narrow Gauge by Mathew Thompson
Another layout making its Exhibition debut.
This layout depicts a small preserved standard
Gauge line, running any motive power that
can be seen on a Pres Line, but with the
added attraction of a large Steam Narrow
Gauge to more than compliment it.

25/ Woodside Depot                         -    4mm Scale, OO Gauge by Simon Cullen.
The layout is essentially a set of exchange and storage sidings with a small MPD for exchanging
locos and is not region specific. Initially, the intention was to run BR Blue however, Simon now has
accumulated sufficient stock to run BR Green Diesels.

      By SealionSteve,
A great show, as always. Some excellent layouts. Thank you to all concerned.
    • Weston-Super-Mare Model Railway Show 2026
      By ianmianmianm,
Great mix of layouts and trade,

....but the floorplan created real bottlenecks around the entrance which was also the route between halls (via the changing rooms!) and so was already going to be busy anyway. But there were further trade stands and coffee stand put there.... creating groups of people lingering and blocking......       why oh why!

The catering van outside - ended up giving up because as we all stood queuing to buy food, nothing happening in the van, there was a lot of playing with kids and babies but the 4 people there couldn't manage to free up one to take orders.

    • SOUTHAMPTON MODEL RAILWAY SHOW -JANUARY 24TH/25TH 2026
      By Robin Brasher,
Despite South West Trains' best efforts I managed to get to the exhibition on time. I had my doubts when they announced at Southampton Central Station that my train would be running non stop to Waterloo but I got on a Cross Country train that stopped at Southampton Airport. The pictures show:
      1. My arrival at the exhibition on a heritage bus provided by the organisers.
      2. There were a lot of people at the exhibition and a huge queue for the coffee machines. There seemed to be more people there than in previous years.
      3. Essence of Ventnor in 0 gauge was one of the splendid layouts there. I saw it last year at the Brockenhurst exhibition.
      4. Seaton Junction in 00 gauge was another interesting layout. There was an N gauge model of Seaton Junction at Pecorama that it donated to our model railway club so I found it interesting to see Seaton Junction in a larger scale.

I was not so lucky with my return journey as South West Trains was unable to run any trains from Southampton Central to Bournemouth and Weymouth so I ended up having to catch a taxi to Bournemouth.

      By Robin Brasher,
Excellent show. plenty of free parking, over 30 layouts, lots of traders and full catering. I liked the scenery on the illustrated 009 gauge Feorag layout set in an imaginary island west of Cornwall. TT:120 seems to be well received with two small oval layouts on display.
