Macclesfield Model Railway Annual ExhibitionMACCLESFIELD MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITION: SATURDAY 10TH APRIL 2027, 10 - 17.00 AND SUNDAY 11 APRIL 2027, 10 - 16.30
The M.M.R.G are very excited to announce their 2027 Exhibition at: The King's School Sports Hall
Alderley Road, Prestbury, Cheshire, SK10 4SP.
Full details of Layouts and traders will follow, however, there are one or two VERY interesting developments from last years show.
Firstly and foremost, the admission fee has been HELD yet again at just £10 and children FREE!! Whilst other exhibitions are increasing their admission fees beyond what most enthusiasts can afford or expect, Macclesfield will be holding it's admission fee for the Third year in a row!
The Second exciting announcement is, following the extremely popular show in April '26, the M.M.R.G can now exclusively reveal that the Exhibition for 2027 will be 50% LARGER!!
Yes, you read that right, FIFTY PERCENT LARGER. We've listened to all the feedback following the inaugral show at The Kings School and have added a Second Hall, which is the same length as the existing hall of 124 FT but is half the width at 45 FT.
This will not only allow us to have a LOT more layouts and traders, but will allow us to have much wider aisles throughout the whole Exhibition and therefore lots more room for you to comfortably walk around.
There will still be the TWO FREE vintage buses. linking Macclesfield Railway Station and Town Centre to the Exhibition venue as well along with all the other features you have come to expect with our Exhibition.
As a small teaser, for the first time this year, amongst the regular attendees, we have a Class 507 Simulator for you to have a go at! This is not just a couple of screens and a mouse to play with, but a Full Blown, Full Fat, Cab Simulator for you to sit in and experience driving one of those units - should be great fun for all ages!
FULL DETAILS OF LAYOUTS AND TRADERS WILL FOLLOW AS USUAL, BUT YOU'LL WANT TO PUT THIS ONE IN YOUR DIARY, TRUST ME! All this for just £10 Admission!

Londons Transport in miniature Sunday 6th Sept N1 6DA
Wasn’t sure if this was already advertised elsewhere on the forum but thought worth a mention. Link below to the website and a bit of the exhibtion blurb too.
themodelrailwayclub.org/events/londons-transport-in-miniature/
The MRC together with their friends at the London Underground Railway Society are organising a one day mini-exhibition featuring London Underground modelling.
The event will have a selection of model railway layouts, displays, demonstrations and manufacturers present.
Hopefully the day should be an ideal chance to see current strands of Underground modelling and engage with those exhibiting as well as seeing a range of models from RTR, kit built and 3D printed examples across a range of scales and eras. There will definitely be prototypes from 1890s to current Piccadilly 2024 Stock on display! But equally important it should be a chance for both societies to attract new members as well as a rare chance for like minded modellers to meet up and socialise. We trust members will patronise the event and assist to bring it to the attention of any friends that maybe interested.
It will be held at Keen House, London N1 9DA between hours of 11.00 and 16.00.
Tickets on the door to the public will be £12.00 for adults , accompanied 5-16s £6. For members of both LURS and the MRC entry will be £10.00. MRC members will need to show their membership card and LURS members should bring an UN delivery envelope to gain the discounted ticket price on the door.
The MRC snack bar and licensed bar will be open throughout the day selling teas, coffees, soft drinks, snacks, rolls and with a full alcoholic bar offering too.
