Southernman46 Posted June 19, 2015 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Well technically the stock rail has been renewed too - you'd never renew a switch or stock rail on its own.I'm guessing Bournemouth - 20?B points.I reckon this was done at short notice to remove an ultrasonic rail defect in the switch/stock rail hence the lack of closure rail renewal on the fronts & heels (which you'd most like as do on a planned replacement) - especially the front joint where a set of lift fishplates can be seen indicating worn rail adjacent - these joints would also be welded too as none appear to IBJ's. There'd be no time for spot timber renewal either.Not a bad job IMHO - some of AS screws look high but other than that. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
