WWS SCENERY MANUFACTURER WINS BEST BUSINESS AWARD

Mark Jutsum and Martyn Rees were named winner of the Outstanding Personal Achievement Award at the 2015 Best Business Awards.

The BBAs pride themselves on having a large panel of over 20 independent expert judges who select winners according to strict criteria for each category and sector.

The Best Business Awards judges said:

Commenting on the award to Mark Jutsum and Martin Rees, WWS Scenery Manufacturer, in the Outstanding Personal Achievement category, the Chairman of the Judges said: “Against extreme adversity when he was fighting cancer, Mark Jutsum has shown extraordinary resilience in turning his hobby of model soldier painting into a global business. Discovering that there was very little model scenery available, such as grass and trees, he started to create his own and sell it online. Fellow model enthusiastic Martin Rees was enlisted and together the pair have turned it into a successful global business. Quite amazing – and a great example of turning a hobby into not just a business, but a global enterprise.”

Hi Martyn,  I've had a little play with the pro grass detailing heads,  makes a big difference when doing a small area, gives you a lot more control over how much goes where.

Keep the innovations coming!!

Regards,

Ken.

I’ve been playing around with 20mm static grass fibres, now available from WW Scenics (www.war-world.co.uk), and have found that tea strainer grass planting tools are not suitable, but the latest GrassMaster by Noch or Pro Grass tools by WW Scenics, with the largest mesh cap on, work well. (PM)
